Exeter City have reached round four of the FA Cup for the first time since 1980/81 and will hope that events down the road at Home Park on Sunday can inspire them to go one stage further at a sold-out St James Park.
Twenty-four hours after Devon rivals Plymouth stunned Liverpool, it's Exeter's turn for star billing when they take on in-form Premier League surprise package Nottingham Forest.
Nottingham Forest & Under 3.5 Goals - 5/4
Big guns Liverpool and Chelsea joined Arsenal on the FA Cup discard pile over the weekend, but that is still unlikely to have any bearing on the Forest side Nuno Espirito Santo sends into battle at St James Park in their FA Cup fourth-round tie against Exeter.
Forest, given the season they are having, suddenly look genuine contenders for a trophy the club last won in 1959, especially with so many big names tumbling.
But Nuno will have decided days ago about the team he sends to Devon to take on League One Exeter and, having made 11 changes for their third-round win over Luton Town, it would be remarkable if the Forest boss does anything different this time.
He'll have seen what happened to Liverpool just down the coast at Plymouth, where Arne Slot's much-changed team suffered FA Cup embarrassment.
But Forest, third in the Premier League, are off to Fulham in the league on Saturday and Nuno will be saving his stars for that trip rather than this one.
To that end, there is nothing to get excited about odds of 27/100 Forest, though it's also worth stating that Exeter are no Plymouth.
Argyle are a struggling Championship side; Exeter a struggling League One outfit and, while they will of course be up for making a slice of FA Cup history, they are going to have to play out of their skins to trouble even Forest reserves.
Forest's abundant changes coupled with Exeter's attempt to be dogged and stay tight ought to mean a low-scorer.
That may seem a risky statement given Forest come off the back of a 7-0 drubbing of Brighton and Exeter a 4-1 thrashing by Stevenage, but there's a case for thinking Forest & Under 3.5 Goals at 5/4 can land.
A completely different Forest XI only pipped Luton 2-0 in the previous round and a couple of narrow losses to Birmingham City - by a distance the best side in tier three - showed Exeter can roll up their sleeves on occasions.
Their first 15 games this season all produced three goals or under and on a soggy, cold night when Gary Caldwell would take 0-0 and penalties if you offered them to him, maybe don't expect fireworks.
Ryan Woods Over 40.5 Passes - 6/4
Ryan Woods will be a key figure for the Grecians when the League One team do get on the ball and, if we know anything about Forest, it's that they are confident enough to play without the ball.
They boast just 35 per cent possession away from home in the Premier League, the lowest of the 20 teams and, while a trip to St James Park is clearly not the same as a day out at St James' Park Newcastle, there is a style about Forest which Nuno continues to preach.
Indeed, that was evidenced in the previous round, the 2-0 win at home to the Hatters.
Forest on paper were much the better side, but in reality Nuno's reserves won with 45 per cent possession and had almost 100 fewer passes than the Hatters. And that was at the City Ground.
Forest will have more of the ball at Exeter but not to the extent that someone like Woods won't get chances to get the ball down and play.
Woods averages 53 passes per game in the league and can sail past 40.5 at a nice price.
Over 3.5 Exeter Corners - 4/5
Again, because of the way Forest play, Exeter will get opportunities to play in the away side's third and can fire off shots.
Therefore, it wouldn't take many deflections or saves to see the Grecians earn over 3.5 corners.
They had five against Championship side Oxford United in the previous round, while Luton had five at Forest on the same day.
