England and Bosnia-Herzegovina meet for the first time in international football and the hosts are aiming for a positive performance as they build up to the European Championship finals.

Southgate's men, beaten on penalties by Italy in the final of Euro 2020, topped qualifying Group B with 20 points from eight games, and their impressive campaign featured home and away wins over the Azzurri.

England had won 12 consecutive friendlies, nine of them to nil, before March's Wembley double-header in which they lost 1-0 to Brazil and drew 2-2 with Belgium.

Bosnia failed to make the Euros, losing seven of their 10 qualifiers in Group J, and two of their three wins came against lowly Liechtenstein.

They earned a playoff place thanks to their Nations League performances but lost 2-1 to Ukraine in the Path B semi-final, conceding in the 85th and 88th minute.
