Purchased from Palmeiras for a reported €60million fee, Endrick has long been touted as Brazil's next superstar.

It's an immense expectation but one that the teenager appears to relish, as he demonstrated on his first competitive outing at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Endrick netted his first Los Blancos goal in a comprehensive triumph over Real Valladolid and in doing so, became the youngest foreign player to score for Real Madrid in La Liga history.

It was the perfect introduction and in the eyes of Carlo Ancelotti, a sign of what was to come from the Brazilian sensation.

Ancelotti will aim to ensure that Endrick's progress in the Spanish capital is not hindered by a lack of game time, though he does have the small issue of competing with the club's marquee summer recruit Kylian Mbappe for a starting berth.

Endrick is likely to be subjected to a bit-part role this season, but that's not to say he can have a major impact as Real Madrid bid to defend their La Liga and UEFA Champions League titles.
