Burnley broke the Championship transfer record this summer with the signing of Mike Tresor from Genk for a fee of £16million.
Ruben Neves was previously the most expensive Championship signing after Wolves paid Porto £15.8m in 2017.
The biggest fee paid for a player in the Championship was £58m for Romeo Lavia, who joined Chelsea from Southampton in 2023.
Newcastle United set a record in 2016/17 for the highest average attendance in a Championship season, recording an average gate of 51,108 at St James' Park.
The highest attendance for an individual match was also set on Tyneside that season, with 52,301 in attendance for Newcastle's fixture against Leeds United.
