Euro 2024-bound Denmark will be aiming to get a victory over neighbours Sweden in Copenhagen on Wednesday evening as they continue their countdown to Germany.
The Danes are in Group C for the Euros, alongside England, Serbia and Slovenia, while Sweden are set to be absent from the European Championship finals for the first time since 1996.
Rasmus Hojlund anytime goalscorer - 8/5
After a big money move from Atalanta last summer, Rasmus Hojlund had a mixed time of things in his maiden season as a Manchester United player.
He celebrated his 21st birthday in February and did so amid a real hot streak where he netted seven goals in six league and cup appearances for his club.
The struggles of the Red Devils under Erik ten Hag are well documented, despite ending the season in triumphant fashion with the FA Cup final win over Manchester City. Given that backdrop, a return of 17 goals in 49 appearances in all competitions was not a bad effort for a player acclimatising to the demands of English club football.
Hojlund has also settled nicely into life a full Danish international. He marked a first senior start with a hat-trick against Finland in March 2023 and four more goals saw him end the qualifying campaign as Denmark's leading goalscorer.
Martin Braithwaite started all of Denmark's games in their run to the Euro 2020 semi-finals but the 32-year-old has been omitted from the squad entirely this time around, a sure indication that the baton of expectation has been passed to Hojlund.
That burden will rest a bit easier if he can grab a goal in Copenhagen and he's in relatively good form, having scored in United's final two Premier League games.
Denmark to win and both teams to score – 11/4
Denmark have a fantastic recent record in home international friendlies, currently having gone 11 without conceding a goal. Sweden, however, can bring that sequence to an end.
Their qualifying attempt for Euro 2024 was poor, winning only three games out of eight as Belgium and Austria cruised to the first two spots.
The axe duly fell on long-serving boss Janne Andersson and he was replaced by Danish-born former Blackburn Rovers head coach Jon Dahl Tomasson. He was capped 112 times by Denmark and will be eager to put up a good showing in his homeland.
Since a 2-0 loss to Austria in Vienna last June, Sweden have scored in eight out of nine games (including the abandoned 1-1 draw with Belgium in Brussels).
They netted twice in a 5-2 friendly defeat to Portugal in March and with Newcastle forward Alexander Isak leading the line and likely support outside him from Nottingham Forest's Anthony Elanga and Tottenham's Dejan Kulusevski, they should offer enough to get on the scoresheet in a game where this is no pressure on.
The Danes will be keen to find some pre-tournament momentum. A defeat to Northern Ireland in Belfast was the closing act in qualifying before a March double-header saw them held scoreless by Switzerland then beating the Faroe Islands 2-0.
They replicate that schedule now, with this game in Copenhagen before facing Norway in Brondby in three days' time, the final stops before they face Slovenia in Stuttgart on 16th June in their Euros opener.
Denmark have only lost one of the last eight meetings and can win this one, but Sweden are likely to get on the scoresheet too in what should be quite an open game.
