Two sides that got off to losing starts in their Premier League openers go head-to-head in South London as Crystal Palace host West Ham.
The Eagles fell to a 2-1 defeat at Brentford while the Hammers were unable to make home advantage count as they lost to Aston Villa by the same score.
After making impressive moves in the summer transfer window, both sides will be desperate to get three points on the board in this encounter.
Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score - 21/20
There has been plenty of transition at both Crystal Palace and West Ham over the summer, and that was reflected in their opening weekend results.
The Eagles lost Michael Olise to Bayern Munich, Joachim Andersen has since departed to Fulham and Newcastle are nearing a deal for Marc Guehi.
Holding onto their best assets was always going to be difficult after their impressive top-half finish last season and the fluctuation means that Palace may take some time to hit the ground running.
They lost 2-1 to Brentford last weekend and while they were unfortunate to have an early Eberechi Eze goal disallowed, they still would have expected to put in a better performance.
Similarly to their London rivals, West Ham have had plenty of turnover in their squad and will also have to get used to Julen Lopetegui’s methods following David Moyes’ departure this summer.
They were beaten 2-1 by Aston Villa in their opener with new signings Crysencio Summerville, Jean-Clair Todibo and Niclas Fullkrug all featuring from the bench.
That trio will play a bigger role in this clash but with question marks about the defences of both teams at present it may pay to side with goals in this one.
Both teams have found the net in the last 14 Premier League meetings between these two teams.
In fact, five of the last seven head-to-heads in the league have also gone over 3.5 goals, with 33 goals being scored in those seven games, an average of nearly five per match.
The duo met in preseason with Crystal Palace running out 3-1 winners and another high-scoring affair looks likely.
Side with both teams to find the scoresheet and three or more goals to be scored in what could be an exciting clash in south London.
Eberechi Eze to score at any time - 2/1
Eberechi Eze was arguably the unluckiest player in the Premier League across the first week of games.
Given a much bigger role now following Michael Olise’s departure, Eze led the league with seven shots last weekend, three of which were on target.
On top of that the England international also had a goal controversially chalked off and he could get immediate compensation for that in this match.
The creative spark averaged 0.48 goals per game last term and has netted 21 times across the last two Premier League campaigns.
Eze looks the value selection to get on the scoresheet in this game.
Jefferson Lerma to be shown a card - 2/1
Joachim Andersen’s departure to Fulham and Marc Guehi’s potential departure to Newcastle means that Crystal Palace may have to field a makeshift defence in this game, something that may be exacerbated by Oliver Glasner’s preference to play three at the back.
Jefferson Lerma is one potential candidate to slot into the back line and even if he doesn’t, he could be a strong candidate for a card.
The former Bournemouth man picked up eight cards in 28 Premier League games last season and his lowest season tally for cautions across the last nine campaigns is seven.
Take Lerma to be shown a card here.
