Croatia take on Ghana in the final match of Group L at the World Cup in Philadelphia on Saturday evening, with both teams still having something to play for.
Zlatko Dalic’s side occupies third place in the group, having taken three points across their opening two games. A win against Ghana will see the European side through to the knockout stages, while a point should be more than enough.
Ghana defended superbly during the 0-0 draw with England and combined with the 1-0 victory over Panama in their opening match, the Black Stars should progress into the last 32.
Not since 2010 have Ghana reached the knockout stages of the World Cup, but that drought is set to be over this year.

Best Bet: Under 2.5 goals @ 4/6
Ghana frustrated England in their second group match with some excellent defending and that secured them a vital point in the end.
This match will certainly be a cagey one, especially as a draw suits Ghana, so don’t expect many goals throughout the 90 minutes.
Across the four matches involving both nations at this World Cup, only one of those matches has featured three or more goals and that was Croatia’s 4-2 defeat to England.
Before the World Cup, this bet would have landed in five of Ghana’s last seven matches.
There have been more goals in games involving Croatia before the tournament, but Dalic’s side only managed to secure a narrow 1-0 win over Panama last time out.
Given that the Black Stars will likely create few chances and stifle the Croatian attack, expect under three goals in this clash.
Alternative Bet: Draw @ 21/10
Considering all Ghana needs is a point to seal second place in the group, manager Carlos Queiroz will likely go with a similar approach that was used during the England game.
This could certainly frustrate the Croatians, who know that a win will definitely see them finish in the top two of the group.
Dalic’s side dominated possession against Panama, yet they only managed six shots during the game compared to eight for the Caribbean side.
Panama even won more corners and covered more distance, yet an Ante Budimir goal won it for the Europeans.
Hardly a vintage performance, and Croatia will need more in the final third to stand a chance of breaking through a resolute Ghanaian defence that hasn’t conceded yet.
With only one side chasing a victory, expect this to be a match with few clear-cut chances and a stalemate is on the cards.
Josip Sutalo to commit 1+ foul
Antoine Semenyo: 2+ fouls won
Both teams to receive a card
Pays @ 5/1
Panama offered plenty in the final third against Croatia, yet they couldn’t break through a centre-back pairing of Josip Sutalo and Marin Pongracic.
The former was solid at the heart of defence, making nine defensive contributions throughout the match. He did, however, commit two fouls.
Against Ghana, he will have to deal with Antoine Semenyo and Inaki Williams cutting in from the flanks, plus the presence of Jordan Ayew through the middle. As such, backing him to commit at least one foul is a solid way to begin this bet builder.
Semenyo hasn’t found the back of the net as of yet at this World Cup, but he has caused problems playing on the left of a three-man attack.
He could be lively against Croatia, especially as Ghana just need a draw, which means the opposition defenders will be determined to stop him during the clash.
There is no doubt that the tie is going to be a tense one, especially with Croatia chasing a win and Ghana more than likely happy to sit and play for a draw.
Both teams received cards in Croatia’s last game against Panama, while both of Ghana’s World Cup games has seen cards awarded to each nation.
Expect the referee to be busy during this game.
