Coventry City v Tottenham Hotspur stats and head-to-head record (H2H)

Spurs have endured a difficult start to the season, taking four points from their first 12 available in the Premier League and will be hoping the EFL Cup can provide them with some much-needed relief.

However, Coventry may be feeling confident ahead of this clash given Tottenham have fallen at the first hurdle in this competition for the past two seasons - a third-round exit to Nottingham Forest was followed up by a second-round departure at Fulham.

Spurs' only away win in eight games came at relegated Sheffield United last term and they have managed just two clean sheets in their last 15 matches.

However, the Sky Blues themselves have not exactly been in stellar form, winning just three of their last 14 matches.

City did make the FA Cup semi-finals last term, though, and will take confidence from that run which saw them beat Premier League side Wolves.
