A place in the third round of the EFL Cup is at stake on Tuesday night when Coventry City host Oxford United in an all-Championship tie.

The game kicks off at 19:45 BST on Tuesday 27th August at the Coventry Building Society Arena in Coventry, West Midlands.
These two teams have faced each other on 16 occasions in all competitions, with Coventry winning 10 times compared to Oxford's five successes.
Coventry ran out comfortable 4-0 winners in the first meeting, an FA Cup clash in February 1982, while the Sky Blues triumphed 3-2 in the most recent clash in the Championship on 16th August 2024.
Haji Wright was on target twice in that league triumph, along with teammate Milan van Ewijk, while Ciaron Brown and Mark Harris struck for Oxford.

Coventry are without the injured duo of Ben Sheaf and Raphael Borges Rodrigues. The Sky Blues are expected to make a number of changes for this tie, with goalkeeper Ben Wilson likely to play.
Oxford's only injury absentee is Will Goodwin, who remains sidelined with an ankle problem. The U's are also set to rotate their squad, with Josh McEachran, Matt Ingram and Jordan Thorniley in line to start.
