Coventry City and Luton Town meet at the CBS Arena in the midst of dismal starts to their Championship campaigns.
The Sky Blues are in the bottom three, with Luton only two points better off, all of which is a far cry from the last time they met back in May 2023.
Then Mark Robins and Rob Edwards were leading their teams out at Wembley in the play-off final.
Draw @ 12/5
The 2024/25 Championship season is turning into a campaign of draws with more stalemates in the second tier than any other English division.
A whopping 31 per cent of fixtures in the Championship have ended all-square over the first couple of months of term and just last midweek, seven of the 12 matches played finished level.
And don't be in the least bit surprised if the showdown between strugglers Coventry and Luton ends in a draw.
After all, when they last met during the 2022/23 season, their three meetings ended in stalemates, the first two in the league, the third in the play-off final at Wembley.
Luton, managed then, as now, by Edwards, won that clash on penalties and, after a year in the top-flight, are back to renew acquaintances with Coventry who, also like then, are still managed by Robins.
Coventry go into this game in the bottom three with just nine points to their name. Their two wins - against Oxford and Blackburn - both came at home, but they aren't playing well and have had a poor week.
They were poor in a 1-0 defeat at Preston last week and were hanging on for a 1-1 draw at QPR on Tuesday.
They have, however, had an extra 24 hours to prepare for this match, Luton having lost 2-1 at home to Sunderland on Wednesday.
That was a gruelling showdown in which Edwards' Hatters chucked plenty at the league leaders with a customary aerial bombardment which went unrewarded.
Luton are not easy on the eye but when they get it right - as they did with a 3-0 demolition of bitter rivals Watford last Saturday - they are incredibly effective.
They are also laden down with injuries and the Sunderland match will have taken plenty out of them.
This will be tense and quite possibly tight. Of Coventry's 13 matches played this season only one has been decided by more than a one-goal margin, a 3-0 loss at Leeds.
Robins' men look short of goals despite creating their share of chances and if they can stay disciplined and defend crosses well then that pretty much keeps Luton at bay.
Over 5.5 Coventry corners @ 11/10
Coventry and Luton may be in the bottom six of the Championship, but when it comes to shots taken they are actually in the top eight.
Both teams are creating chances but not taking them and confidence in the strikers has to be low.
Ellis Simms, for example, bagged 13 for City last term, but only has one so far, while Eli Adebayo, who bagged 10 in the Premier League last season, only broke his duck for the campaign on Wednesday.
The intent is still there, as seen by the shots totals and also the corners totals, with Coventry averaging 6.4 per game and Luton 7.7.
Both teams will be positive and Coventry should have no difficulty winning over 5.5 corners at 11/10.
Mark McGuinness Over 0.5 Shots on Target @ 3/1
Because of all the corners Luton win - they average more than any side in the division - and set-plays they accumulate, their defenders are a constant threat in the opposition box.
And no player illustrates that better than Mark McGuinness, who signed for Luton in August with a scoring farewell for Cardiff.
He hasn't yet found the net for the Hatters, but he has fired off more shots - 14 - than any of his team-mates bar Adebayo.
The 3/1 he manages at least one on target at the CBS Arena looks a great play.
