Colombia v Panama: How to watch, TV channel, kick-off time, head-to-head stats and team news

The third quarter-final at this year's Copa America is set for State Farm Stadium, Glendale, Arizona on Saturday night as in-form Colombia face a Panama side that have already overcome hosts the United States at the tournament.

Colombia progressed through to the last eight in impressive fashion, seeing off both Paraguay and Costa Rica before earning the point they needed against Brazil to clinch top spot in Group D.

For Panama, the passage into the quarter-finals was far less smooth, but they showed great powers of recovery after losing their opening match to eventual Group C winners Uruguay by seeing off both the USA and Bolivia.

Colombia v Panama stats and head-to-head record (H2H)

Colombia are unbeaten in their last 26 matches since losing a World Cup qualifier to Argentina in February 2022. This impressive run includes all 23 of their games under head coach Nestor Lorenzo.

The Coffee Growers are through to the knockout stages of the Copa America for the sixth time in a row and they have progressed to the semi-finals in two of the last three editions.

However, Colombia's only triumph at the Copa America came in 2001 when they beat Mexico in the final.

Panama are participating at just their second Copa America and this is the first time they have ever reached the knockout stages.

The Canal Men are also in good form, winning 10 of their last 15 matches, and they have risen 38 places in the world rankings since Thomas Christiansen's arrival as head coach in 2020.

Colombia have won the last two meetings between these two sides by an aggregate score of 7-0, with the most recent clash finishing in a 3-0 success for the South American team in June 2019.

Colombia v Panama team news

Colombia team news

Colombia have one confirmed absentee for this game as Jefferson Lerma is suspended. Mateus Uribe is expected to deputise for the Crystal Palace midfielder.

Centre-back Jhon Lucumi has missed the last two games with the knock he picked up against Paraguay and he remains a doubt.

Panama team news

Panama will once again be without midfielder Adalberto Carrasquilla, who will serve the second match of his two-game ban for being sent off against the USA.

Eduardo Guerrero and Cesar Yanis both came off the bench to score in Panama's final group game against Bolivia and they will hope to have done enough to force their way into the starting XI.
