Nkunku's arrival at Chelsea was eagerly anticipated ahead of the 2023/24 campaign after netting 16 times in the Bundesliga for RB Leipzig the season prior to signing.

However, in his debut season for the Blues, he was held back by injuries, making just 14 appearances in all competitions. He managed to score three times across these games, but his time out of the team allowed Nicolas Jackson to make the number one striking slot his own.

A combination of Jackson's fine form and the addition of Pedro Neto, Jadon Sancho and Joao Felix, amongst other quality players in the team, means Nkunku's game time has been limited, finding a starting berth difficult to come by in the Premier League.

While Chelsea are odds-on to keep the Frenchman, if news is to break that he seeks playing time elsewhere, then there is likely to be a queue of teams interested.

Fellow Premier League team Manchester United are said to be a possible destination for Nkunku, while a return to RB Leipzig may also be on the cards.
