Chesham United v Lincoln City: Prediction, Tips and Odds

National League South outfit Chesham United have been handed a plum FA Cup draw in round one as they welcome League One Lincoln City to The Meadow for what will be a sell-out occasion.

The ITV cameras are set to be at the Buckinghamshire venue for what promises to be a lively affair.

Chesham will be eyeing a famous cup upset and have come through three rounds, including one replay, to get this far. Lincoln City are chasing promotion in the third tier and have made a solid start, ensuring they are in the play-off spots entering November.

Chesham United v Lincoln City predictions

Lincoln City to win and both teams to score @ 13/8

The travelling Imps are hefty favourites to come out on top in Buckinghamshire at 1/4 but there seems a more than decent chance that Chesham United will give them some food for tough in front of the ITV cameras.

Chesham haven't got beyond round one of the FA Cup since the 2015/16 season. They have been busy in the competition already. After wins over Cray Valley and Bishop's Cleeve – needing a replay – the knocked out National League opposition in Yeovil Town. They have scored seven times and are yet to concede.

This is a step up in grade. Lincoln City have steadied their ship in League One after defeats to title favourites Birmingham City and Crawley Town. Their two most recent games have seen them defeat Stockport County and Northampton, both 2-1 wins.

Chesham will fancy a shot at their visitors, nonetheless. They are unbeaten in five games, scoring 12 times, and should give a respectable account in front of a packed house at The Meadow.

Ultimately though, they have conceded 20 goals in 13 National League South games and Lincoln should have too much for them.

The Imps are good travellers, with just one reverse in seven on the road this season.

Nathan Minhas to score anytime @ 3/1

If the Generals get on the scoresheet, forward Nathan Minhas is a likely source. He scored 17 goals for Slough Town in the National League South last season and made the move to Chesham in the summer.

He has made a solid start in claret and blue, scoring five times in 11 games and he will be leading the line against Lincoln.

Prior to joining Slough, Minhas was with Beaconsfield, where he notched 52 league goals over two seasons. Minhas was a long-time target for Chesham and has made a bright start with the club. He can make a mark on this cup tie.

Over 3.5 Goals @ 1/1

This looks likely to be an entertaining contest, with goals on the menu. Chesham's recent wins in the league have come via a 3-1 home win against Chippenham Town and a 3-2 away success at Enfield Town.

There have been at least three goals scored in all of Lincoln's last five League One games, with both teams registering in four of those games.

Michael Skubala's side haven't managed a clean sheet in any of their last seven, with Crawley putting three past them in their most recent road trip.

They have the quality to pick open the Generals' rearguard, but may be under pressure themselves when the home side get to work at the other end.
