Chelsea v Leicester City: Free Tips, Prediction and Odds

Chelsea overcame rock-bottom Southampton in the last round of Premier League games after a run of three defeats, and now face another struggling outfit this weekend as Leicester City visit Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Maresca guided Leicester to promotion last season before swapping the East Midlands for West London in the summer, and the Chelsea manager will be looking to get one over his former club as he bids to guide his current employers into next season’s Champions League.

Chelsea to Win to Nil - 11/10

Leicester City opted to axe Steve Cooper and bring in Ruud van Nistelrooy at the start of December and it is fair to say that decision has not paid off, so far at least. The Foxes have won just two of the 14 Premier League games he has been in charge for, losing 11, and the goals have completely dried up under the former Netherlands international striker.

Leicester have scored 25 goals in 27 Premier League games but 16 of those came in their first 13 fixtures. The visitors have gone four games without scoring, losing on each occasion, so backing Chelsea to win without conceding looks a strong option.

The Blues are unbeaten in five across all competitions at Stamford Bridge and have won their last three. Clean sheets have been an issue for Maresca’s side but they beat the Saints without conceding in the last round of Premier League games and have a chance to record back-to-back league shutouts when they host Leicester.

Christopher Nkunku To Score Anytime - 21/20

Christopher Nkunku should be back in the Chelsea starting XI after coming off the bench in the Conference League win over FC Copenhagen on Thursday.

The Frenchman has endured a frustrating campaign in which he has not seen a lot of action, but he has featured more regularly over the last few weeks due to Nicolas Jackson’s injury.

Nkunku produced a decent display without scoring in a 2-1 loss to Aston Villa but was able to make an impact against Southampton with a goal and an assist. That performance could be the springboard he needs to go on a bit of a scoring run and the former RB Leipzig man looks good value at 21/20 for an anytime effort against Leicester, who have shipped 14 goals across their last five games in all competitions.

Onyinye Ndidi To Be Booked - 13/5

The Leicester midfield and defence faces a tough 90 minutes against a Chelsea side who keep the ball well and can break quickly, and that could lead to a few cards being dished out to the visitors.

Wilfred Ndidi looks a good value candidate for a card as he has four yellows in 18 games this season. The Nigerian averages 1.6 fouls per game in this competition and two or more infringements may be enough for a booking at Chelsea.
