Crystal Palace v Chelsea Bet Builder

  • Over 3 goals @ 11/5
  • Conor Gallagher to be booked @ 5/2
  • Cole Palmer to have over 1.5 shots on target @ 9/4

    Bet Builder - 22/1

Over 3 goals - 11/5

Given the inconsistencies of both Palace and Chelsea this season, it is hard to back either side to claim the spoils, so the first part of this Bet Builder is for there to be over three goals in the match.

Exactly five goals have been scored in each of the Eagles' last three fixtures, with 5-0 and 4-1 defeats to Arsenal and Brighton coming either side of a 3-2 win over Sheffield United.

Over three goals has also landed in two of Palace's last three games at Selhurst Park and there looks to be a good chance that that bet will come in again, especially with Chelsea involved.

No less than 22 goals have been scored across the Blues' last five matches in all competitions, with over three strikes landing in all but one of those encounters.

Conor Gallagher to be booked @ 5/2

It has been a strange season for Conor Gallagher, who has reportedly been available for transfer in both transfer windows, despite being a regular first-team fixture and wearing the captain's armband on numerous occasions.

The England international hasn't been afraid to get his foot stuck in and has picked up four yellow cards in the league, while his foul count of 50 is the most by any player in the division this season.

Gallagher played on loan at Palace for the 2021/22 campaign, receiving huge plaudits for his performances, but he could fall foul of the referee at a hostile Selhurst Park.

Cole Palmer to have over 1.5 shots on target @ 9/4

One transfer that already looks to be a shrewd piece of business for Chelsea is the summer acquisition of Cole Palmer from Manchester City, who is the club's leading scorer in the league with goals.

The 21-year-old England international has fired off 45 shots, just one less than team-mate Nicolas Jackson, with 20 of those ending up on target.

With Palace conceding 12 goals across their last four matches in all competitions, Palmer will be relishing the chance to take on a fragile defence and he should be able to register at least two shots on target.

Crystal Palace Team News

Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze, Marc Guehi, Cheick Doucoure and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi are all sidelined for the Eagles due to injury.

Chelsea Team News

Romeo Lavia, Lesley Ugochukwu, Reece James, Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana are ruled out through injury, while Robert Sanchez is likely to remain unavailable after making only a partial return to training.

Benoit Badiashile faces a scan after hobbling off with a muscle problem against Aston Villa in midweek and is a major doubt, with his spot potentially going to Levi Colwill, who could return from a short lay-off.

Trevoh Chalobah is back in training, but this clash will come too soon for him.

Crystal Palace v Chelsea Stats

Chelsea have won the last 13 meetings against Crystal Palace, who last triumphed over the Blues back in October 2017 at Selhurst Park.

The Blues have lost five of their last six Premier League matches away from home, conceding 14 goals during those defeats.

Palace are unbeaten in their last three top-flight fixtures at home, drawing with Brighton before beating Brentford and Sheffield United.
