Chelsea will ramp up their preparations for the new campaign when they take on Scottish champions Celtic in a high-profile pre-season friendly in the United States on Saturday night.
This will be the Blues' second match of the summer, following their midweek draw with Wrexham, but Celtic are much further down the line in their preparations for the upcoming campaign, with the new Scottish Premiership season set to get underway next weekend.
The Bhoys will also head into this contest with an extra spring in their step following their eye-catching 4-3 win over Manchester City last time out.
This battle between two giants of the British game will be available to watch on both Chelsea TV and Celtic TV.
Chelsea v Celtic is due to kick-off at 21.00 BST on Saturday 27th July and the match will take place at the Notre Dame Stadium in Indiana, a venue that can hold more than 77,000 spectators.
This will be Enzo Maresca's second match as Chelsea head coach following the midweek 2-2 draw with Wrexham, when the Blues needed a late Lesley Ugochukwu goal to salvage a share of the spoils against the League One side.
Following Saturday's clash, Chelsea will face further friendlies in the United States against Mexican side Club America, Manchester City and Real Madrid before they return to Stamford Bridge for their final pre-season fixture with Inter Milan on 11th August.
Celtic are unbeaten in their four pre-season matches to date, a run that includes a 4-0 victory over DC United and a 4-3 triumph against Premier League champions Man City since they arrived in the United States.
Following Saturday's game, Brendan Rodgers' side will return to the UK ahead of their Scottish Premiership opener at home to Kilmarnock on 4th August.
These two sides have never met in a competitive fixture, but they have clashed twice before in pre-season, with Chelsea winning 4-2 in 2004 before they played out a 1-1 draw two years later.

After making their debuts against Wrexham, Tosin Adarabioyo and Marc Guiu will both be keen to feature again, while fellow new recruit Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will also hope to be involved after a knock denied him a first appearance for the club during the week.
The Blues will once again be without Marc Cucurella, Cole Palmer, Conor Gallagher, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, who are all yet to rejoin the squad due to their international commitments over the summer.
Rodgers is expected to stick with a similar side to the one who started against City, with winger Nicolas Kuhn, who struck a first-half brace during that game, hoping to impress again.
