Chelsea will be eager to stop their Premier League rot when they welcome Bournemouth to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday evening.
The Blues struggled for form over the festive period, taking just two points from their last four league games to slip down to fourth in the table.
Seventh-placed Bournemouth are only three points worse off than Chelsea and head to the capital on a nine-game unbeaten sequence.
The Cherries have won four times on their Premier League travels although each of them have come against bottom-half teams.
Chelsea to win and both teams to score - 7/4
Chelsea’s second string showed their worth at the weekend with a 5-0 victory at home to Morecambe in the FA Cup third round, and their first-choice side can box off an uncertain spell by defeating Bournemouth in high-scoring fashion.
In recent weeks, the Blues had encountered a few problems against deep-lying defences. They had large shares of possession against Ipswich (75.9%) and Crystal Palace (61.6%) and ended up disappointed on both occasions after a 2-0 loss at Portman Road and a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park.
However, Enzo Maresca’s side should be more suited to playing against Bournemouth, who are a team which prefer to go toe-to-toe with most of their opponents.
Bournemouth’s attacking style has contributed to some fantastic results, including last month’s superb 3-0 triumph away to Manchester United.
The Cherries are unlikely to alter their approach but their chances of beating Chelsea are hampered by a significant injury list.
Andoni Iraola’s side have nine senior players in the treatment room, including centre-forwards Evanilson and Enes Unal, who face lengthy spells on the sidelines.
The south coast side possess some adaptable, talented forwards, who are quite capable of causing Chelsea some problems, but the balance of Bournemouth’s side might not be quite right and that may give Chelsea just enough encouragement to register a much-needed three points.
Nicolas Jackson to score any time - 7/5
Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson have been Chelsea’s main attacking threats and it would be no great surprise to see either of them on the scoresheet against Bournemouth.
Palmer has been the Blues’ standout player with 19 Premier League goal involvements (13 goals and six assists).
Jackson has gone a little bit under the radar but has totted up nine goals from 19 league appearances and is well on course for his most productive season on English shores.
The 23-year-old Senegalese has netted in two of Chelsea’s last three home league games and looks a solid wager to add to his tally.
Lewis Cook to be carded - 7/2
In addition to playing some entertaining football, Bournemouth are more than capable of doing the uglier side of the game.
Their yellow card tally of 48 is the joint-fourth highest in the division and includes four from combative midfielder Lewis Cook, who can add to his caution count.
