Celtic v Hibernian: Free Tips, Prediction and Odds

Celtic are bidding for a domestic treble as they are on course to win the Premiership and have already secured League Cup glory ahead of the visit of Hibernian in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals on Sunday.

The Glasgow giants are the clear favourites to win but Hibernian are one of Scotland’s form teams and they claimed a memorable victory over Celtic at Easter Road the last time these sides met, just a few weeks ago.

Both Teams To Score - 10/11

Celtic are the heavy favourites to win the game in normal time. The 42-time record Cup champions may well be able to get the job done without needing extra time but Hibs have perhaps been underestimated and they can at the very least make this tie competitive.

The Edinburgh outfit are on a 15-game unbeaten run across all competitions and have failed to score in only one of those fixtures. That run has included an incredible 3-3 draw with Rangers, a win over their hosts on Sunday and a victory over city rivals Hearts, so they should be up for this game and relishing the role as underdogs.

Celtic have been clean-sheet specialists at home in the league but in the cups they have not been quite as solid, conceding in four of their last six such ties at Celtic Park. Brendan Rodgers’ men have conceded in two of their last three home games and in four of their last six meetings with Hibernian, so backing both teams to score looks a good starting point in a clash between two in-form sides.

Nicolas Kuhn To Score Anytime - 8/5

Celtic forward Nicolas Kuhn has managed a solid 10 goals in 24 Premiership games this season and has been a little more effective in cup competitions, with eight goals in 16 cup ties in total..

Kuhn’s last goal came in the 1-1 draw at Bayern Munich in the Champions League but the German did make a contribution in the win over St Mirren last time out with an assist.

Kuhn averages 1.8 shots per game in the Premiership and tends to be fairly accurate, with just under half of his attempts recorded as on target. The 25-year-old has scored twice against Hibs this season, including in a League Cup tie in August, and looks a decent value candidate for a goal for the hosts.

Josh Campbell To Score Anytime - 13/2

With both teams fancied to score, it makes sense to look for a potential Hibernian scorer as the value in this market is with the visiting players.

One man who jumps out straight away at the prices is midfielder Josh Campbell after his heroics in Hibs’ win over Celtic at Easter Road last month.

Campbell scored both goals in that match in what was arguably his best display of the season. The 24-year-old has managed only four goals across all competitions this season but he does get chances and is averaging 1.4 attempts per game in the Premiership. As a big price outside option he appeals for an anytime effort at Celtic Park.
