Cardiff v Ipswich: Tips, Predictions and Odds

Two of the Championship's in-form teams meet at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday, as Cardiff host high-flying Ipswich Town.

The Bluebirds have put a four-match unbeaten run together to move into 10th, although they are still seven points behind sixth-placed Hull City in the race for the playoffs.

Ipswich have won six games on the spin to move back into second place and Saturday's game promises to be a fascinating encounter.

Cardiff v Ipswich betting tips and predictions

Ipswich to win and both teams to score - 11/4

Ipswich will make the long trip to South Wales on Saturday with a spring in their step as they continue their quest for automatic promotion.

Kieran McKenna's side have wrestled second spot away from both Leeds United and Southampton of late, but they will be up against it when they travel to Cardiff.

Ipswich surprised many when they entered the early promotion race and many expected them to fall away when they won two in 11 around the turn of the year.

But all good sides find a way to come again and it looks like Ipswich have dusted themselves off in style.

The Tractor Boys have won six in a row in the Championship and they are winning games at the death, which shows they can never be written off.

In both their wins over Rotherham and Bristol City, it looked like Ipswich would be settling for a share of the points, but they found a way in the closing stages.

Cardiff need results to go their way if they are to finish in the top six this season, but they are now unbeaten in four.

The Bluebirds have kept clean sheets in three of those games, while at home they are unbeaten in three and, with Ipswich conceding in four of their last five, Cardiff will be confident they can trouble the scoresheet, especially from set-pieces.

The Welsh outfit have scored 18 goals from set-pieces this season, the most in the Championship, so that is one area they will look to exploit.

Erol Bulut has made his team difficult to break down, but stopping Ipswich is a different matter.

The Tractor Boys are the Championship's top scorers so far this season, and they recorded a 3-2 win over Cardiff when the two teams met in September.

Saturday's game should follow a similar pattern, and the recent data suggests Ipswich cannot be counted out until the final whistle.

Kieffer Moore to score anytime @ 21/10

Cardiff fans have fond memories of Wales international Moore playing in their colours, but they may be sick of the sight of him on Saturday.

The Bournemouth striker joined Ipswich on loan in January and he has already rewarded McKenna for his faith in him.

Moore has netted five goals in seven appearances for Ipswich since moving to Portman Road and he would love to score against his former club on Saturday.

The 31-year-old scored 25 league goals for Cardiff during his two-year spell in South Wales and he will be doing all he can to have his say, as he tries to help his new club secure promotion.

Conor Chaplin to score or assist @ 4/6

Moore is not the only Ipswich player in good form of late, as Conor Chaplin has been just as influential in recent weeks.

The forward has scored 12 goals and also grabbed eight assists this season, meaning he has been crucial to everything the team has done all year.

McKenna has got the best out of him since he joined the club and Chaplin's recent form is too good to ignore.

He has scored three goals and grabbed one assist in his last five appearances in the Championship, and the stats suggest he will have his say on Saturday afternoon.
