The second round of the EFL Cup gets underway this week and Cardiff City welcome Premier League outfit Southampton to the Welsh capital in the competition on Wednesday.
Cardiff have made a miserable start to the Championship season with just one point from three games, leaving them rooted to the foot of the table on goal difference.
As for Southampton, who played the Bluebirds in the second tier last season, they have initially struggled on their return to the Premier League with back-to-back defeats without scoring.

The Bluebirds have a lengthy injury list with Joe Ralls, Isaak Davies, Jamilu Collins, Kion Etete, Ryotaro Tsunoda and Will Fish all sidelined.
Ross Stewart, Adama Lallana and Kamaldeen Sulemana are doubts for Southampton and Gavin Bazunu is out until October with an Achilles injury.
