The second leg will be played in Belfast on Wednesday 17th July with whoever wins progressing to face Legia Warsaw of Poland in the second qualifying round.

The two sides have never met before as this is Welsh outfit Caernarfon's first-ever European fixture.

Town have won friendlies against Connah's Quay (3-2) and Cliftonville (2-1) this summer, while Crusaders beat Airdrieonians 3-2 before going down 3-1 to Salford in their recent friendly games.

Crusaders, in constrast to their hosts, have plenty of European experience, although they have never gone further than the second qualifying round in any competition in the modern era.

Last year, they beat Finland’s Haka in the first round of Conference League qualifying and then only lost narrowly to Norwegian side Rosenberg in extra-time in the second round.
