Burnley v Everton Bet Builder

Jordan Beyer to be Booked - 2/1
Dwight McNeil Over 0.5 Shots on Target - 1/1
Most Goals to be Scored in 2nd Half - 21/20

Bet Builder - 11/1

Jordan Beyer to be Booked - 2/1

Burnley have had a tough time at home this season, losing their first seven Premier League matches at Turf Moor before a 5-0 rout of ten-man Sheffield United at the start of this month.

Saturday's home game against Everton looks a far more difficult assignment as the Toffees have won four of their last five away matches in the top-flight.

Sean Dyche's men also recorded handsome home victories against Newcastle and Chelsea in their last two outings so the former Burnley boss should be confident of a positive result on his return to Turf Moor.

Everton are missing influential centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite due to suspension, but in-form forwards Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Abdoulaye Doucoure should start in front of an exciting midfield unit featuring James Garner, Dwight McNeil and Jack Harrison.

The Toffees are strong favourites to win the game and Burnley centre-back Jordan Beyer is worth backing to be booked in our Bet Builder for Saturday's showdown.

Beyer was shown a card in the win over Sheffield United - after the Blades had been reduced to 10 men - and he should be put under pressure by Everton's frontline.

The German has been cautioned five times in just 11 Premier League starts for Burnley and he had a similar disciplinary record in his previous top-flight campaign, picking up five yellow cards in 15 starts for Borussia Monchengladbach in the 2021/22 Bundesliga campaign.

Dwight McNeil - Over 0.5 Shots on Target - 1/1

Everton boss Dyche is not the only familiar face for Burnley supporters as former Clarets McNeil and James Tarkowski are also in the Toffees' squad.

Tarkowski scored the opener in Everton's 3-0 EFL Cup win over Burnley at Goodison Park in November and in-form winger McNeil could cause problems for his former club on Saturday.

He has scored two goals in his last three matches, against Nottingham Forest and Newcastle, and he averages 1.9 shots per game in the Premier League this season - more than Everton's top goalscorer Doucoure.

McNeil has had at least one shot on target in his last five league appearances, including recent clashes with Chelsea and Manchester United, and he can test Burnley keeper James Trafford this weekend.

Most Goals to be Scored in 2nd Half - 21/20

Everton have been finishing games strongly this season while Burnley have conceded plenty of late goals so backing the second half to feature more goals than the first period looks a solid bet.

That has been a winning bet in seven of Everton's last eight league matches and, despite the Toffees' fine form, they have not scored a first-half goal in their last four games.

Burnley have conceded 34 goals in their first 16 matches this term and 17 of those came in the final half-hour of games.

That suggests they may be vulnerable late on against a confident Everton side and the Clarets conceded goals in the 86th and 91st minutes of their recent 2-1 home defeat to West Ham.

Burnley team news

Charlie Taylor is suspended after picking up his fifth booking of the season so either Connor Roberts or Hannes Delcroix will fill in at left-back. Josh Cullen and Aaron Ramsey will be assessed but Jack Cork, Luca Koleosho and Lyle Foster remain sidelined.

Everton team news

Michael Keane is expected to be fit to deputise for the suspended Jarrad Branthwaite at centre-back. Midfielder Idrissa Gueye also serves a one-match ban and Seamus Coleman, Ashley Young and Andre Gomes will not be involved.

Burnley v Everton stats

Burnley have lost seven of their eight home games in the Premier League this season.

Everton have been drawing at half-time in their last five league victories.
