Brighton are enjoying life under Fabian Hurzeler and they will be aiming to make it three wins from three to start the new season when they welcome League One Crawley Town to the Amex in the second round of the EFL Cup on Tuesday.
The Seagulls have already seen off Everton and Manchester United this term and will hope to avoid a cup upset when they face a Crawley side who have also started the new season well, although they did suffer their first defeat of the campaign at Wigan last time out.
This EFL Cup second round clash will be shown in full on Sky Sports +.
Brighton v Crawley is scheduled to kick-off at 19:45 on Tuesday 27th August, with the match taking place at the American Express Stadium (Amex) in Brighton, East Sussex.
Albion are two wins from two under new head coach Hurzeler, following up a 3-0 victory at Everton on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season with a 2-1 home success over Manchester United.
Crawley have won three of their opening five matches of the season across all competitions, a run that includes a 4-2 success over League Two Swindon Town in the first round of the EFL Cup.
Brighton have not been eliminated at the second-round stage of the EFL Cup since the 2018/19 season, although they have never been beyond the quarter-finals of the competition, reaching the last eight for the only time in 1978/79.
Crawley's best EFL Cup performance came when they made it through to the fourth round in 2019/20.
This will be just the second-ever meeting between Brighton and Crawley, with the Seagulls having claimed a 5-0 triumph in the third round of the FA Cup in January 1992.
