Newcastle head to Brentford in the final round of Premier League fixtures on Sunday knowing only a win will do as they bid to secure the Europa Conference League spot.
The Magpies need to win and hope Chelsea lose to steal sixth place, although seventh would be good enough for European football if Manchester City win the FA Cup.
The Bees have little left to play for as they can finish no lower than the 16th position they currently occupy and one place better is the best they can achieve.
Brentford v Newcastle has not been selected for TV coverage during the final round of Premier League fixtures. Highlights will be shown on Match of the Day on BBC One at 22:30 on Sunday.
The fixture kicks off at 16:00 BST on Sunday 19th May and it is being held at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford, London.
Newcastle won 1-0 when these sides met in the reverse fixture at St James’ Park earlier in the season, their fourth successive victory over the Bees.
The Magpies have just one point to show from their last two games, however, and have just two wins in their last eight away fixtures across all competitions (D1, L5).
Brentford are enjoying a strong finish to the season as they have won three of their last five and have just one defeat in their last eight games.
