Brentford v Fulham: Prediction, Tips and Odds

Brentford know they will be playing in the Premier League next season as they sit 10 points clear of the bottom three with just three rounds of fixtures remaining and they will look to celebrate by winning at home to Fulham.

The Cottagers have been safe for some time and there is little at stake other than pride in this West London derby, but we could still be in for an entertaining clash as neither side appears to be coasting towards the finish line just yet.

Brentford v Fulham: betting tips and predictions

Brentford to win - 11/10

This season will probably go down as a bit of a disappointing one for Brentford, as they have spent much of the campaign fighting the drop and finishing any higher than 15th (one place above their current position) looks unlikely.

However, the Bees have at least been picking up results at home and they have only lost twice in front of their own fans across all competitions since the turn of the year, with those defeats coming at the hands of title hopefuls Manchester City and Liverpool.

Fulham may have been able to mount a challenge for the European spots had their away form been stronger and they have generally struggled on their travels all season.

The Cottagers have managed just 14 of their 43 points on the road, losing nine of their 17 trips so far, and they lost 3-2 at this venue last season.

Indeed, the Bees have a fairly strong recent record in this fixture with three wins in the last four meetings - including a 3-0 win in the reverse fixture earlier in this season - and they can continue that dominance with three points when the two sides meet again this weekend.

Yoane Wissa to score anytime - 2/1

Ivan Toney is going through a bit of a dry spell for Brentford and his last goal for his club came back in February, although he did score for England during the last international break.

Toney has also only just returned after a brief spell on the sidelines, so it is worthwhile looking at other options for potential Brentford scorers and Yoane Wissa looks a good prospect.

Wissa scored Brentford’s opener in the reverse fixture earlier in the season and the DR Congo international is enjoying his most productive season in front of goal for the Bees with 10 goals in 30 games so far.

The 26-year-old has three goals in his last four games and tends to impress in London derbies as he was on target against West Ham, Chelsea and Arsenal recently. There's every chance he can add to his tally for the season this weekend.

Harrison Reed to be booked - 10/3

There may not be too many cards dished out in this fixture as there it little at stake for either side, but Cottagers midfielder Harrison Reed is one potential candidate to fall foul of the referee.

Reed has two bookings in his last five appearances, despite starting just two of those games, and he has five yellow cards in total in 26 Premier League appearances for the season.

The 29-year-old averages a respectable 0.8 fouls per-game, but he has committed at least two in three of his last five appearances away from home, so he looks an interesting big price option to pick up a booking in this clash on Saturday afternoon.
