Bournemouth have already beaten Manchester City and Arsenal at the Vitality Stadium this season and should see off Everton, who have scored in just two of their last nine Premier League matches
Bournemouth are exceeding expectations this year and have put themselves in a great position to challenge for European qualification after starting 2025 in seventh spot in the Premier League.
Everton will have other priorities at the bottom of the table, and the shot-shy Toffees could be up against it when they head to the Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth to win - 8/11
Despite Ipswich Town’s surprising victory over Chelsea on Monday, the teams that were promoted from the Championship last season occupy the bottom three places in the Premier League and many observers will fancy they are likely to stay there.
However, Everton are only just above the cut line and any concerns that they could finally fall through the trap door after many recent flirtations with relegation will intensify unless they can get their act together in the final third.
Sean Dyche’s team have failed to score in seven of their last nine Premier League outings and that does not bode well for a trip to Bournemouth, who are on the verge of enjoying their best top-flight campaign.
The Cherries are up to seventh in the table and Andoni Iraola’s side should be full of confidence after extending their unbeaten record to seven matches following a late equaliser at Fulham on Sunday.
The tight atmosphere at the Vitality Stadium has encouraged Bournemouth to victories over Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham this season and they should have nothing to fear from a visit from the Toffees.
Despite earning a 1-1 draw at City the last time they were on their travels, the Merseysiders have collected a full return in just one of their last 20 league away games and look unlikely to muster enough to trouble their hosts in Saturday’s clash.
Antoine Semenyo to score at any time - 11/5
Bournemouth have been excellent on the whole under Andoni Iraola and in Antoine Semenyo, they have one of the Premier League’s most positive players.
Manchester City’s Erling Haaland is the only top-flight player who has had more than the Ghana midfielder’s total of 74 goal attempts in the league this season, and he has tried his luck on 43 occasions in his last 11 appearances for the Cherries.
His last goal came in the 3-0 victory at Manchester United three days before Christmas, but this looks an excellent opportunity for him to take his tally beyond five for the campaign.
Semenyo has had at least three shots in 15 of his 18 league starts for the south-coast outfit this season and he should be relied upon to test Jordan Pickford, which gives him a good chance of getting on the scoresheet.
Ashley Young to be booked - 9/4
Ashely Young has been fielded as a right-back for Everton as he bears down on 500 Premier League appearances, but it looks as if he could be in for a difficult afternoon against the Cherries as the former Watford, Aston Villa and Manchester United star has been cautioned in four of his last seven league appearances.
Four of his five yellow cards this season have come in away matches and while he escaped a booking despite committing three fouls in Sunday’s 2-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest, he may not be as fortunate when he visits the Vitality.
