Bournemouth v Crystal Palace: Prediction, Tips and Odds

Bournemouth head into this midweek round of Premier League fixtures in fine form and the Vitality Stadium faithful will be confident of witnessing another strong display against a Crystal Palace side that have struggled on the road for a long time.

Neither side look to be in danger of relegation this season, and this midweek encounter promises to be a lively affair on the south coast.

Bournemouth v Crystal Palace betting tips and predictions

Bournemouth to win - 17/20

An injury-time own goal from Seamus Coleman granted Bournemouth all three points against Everton on Saturday and the Cherries are expected to produce another winning performance when Crystal Palace visit the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday.

Andoni Iraola’s side have taken 10 points from the last 12 available in the Premier League, and they are now just three points behind those in the top half of the table. A win on Tuesday would take them over the 40-point mark for the season, although it is clear they have their sights set on greater things with nine games still to play.

Crystal Palace are just one position below the Cherries, but the eight-point chasm between the two sides illustrates the clear divide in the Premier League table as we approach a crucial period of the season.

The Eagles have improved significantly since Oliver Glasner took charge in February, taking five points from four games since his arrival, but Palace’s form on the road remains a serious issue.

They have not won a league away game since November and that came against 19th-placed Burnley. They have drawn four and lost five of their nine trips since then, conceding 21 goals in the process.

Crystal Palace lost 2-0 when Bournemouth visited Selhurst Park in December, and with the Cherries winning three of their last four games, another victory for the in-form side is expected.

Dominic Solanke to score anytime - 11/8

Solanke scored a second-half opener against Everton on Saturday to continue his phenomenal season in front of goal and he can prove the difference maker again on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old Bournemouth striker has found the net 16 times in the Premier League this season, matching Mohamed Salah and Ollie Watkins and only being outscored by Erling Haaland.

Solanke has added two more goals to his tally in cup competitions, taking his overall record to 18 goals in 33 appearances and far surpassing his previous best tally in the top flight, which stood at six goals.

His goal against Everton made it five goals and three assists from his last 10 competitive appearances, and he looks a good price to add to his impressive tally at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday.

Over 2.5 goals & both teams to score - 21/20

Visitors to the Vitality Stadium may have had to wait over an hour for the first goal on Saturday, but the three goals that followed continued a recent theme of high-scoring Bournemouth fixtures.

A total of 14 goals have been scored in their last three matches and they have not kept a clean sheet in the league since Boxing Day, with both teams scoring in eight of the 11 games since then and over 2.5 goals landing in seven of them.

Crystal Palace have scored in each of their last eight league games and, despite their poor travelling record, have found the net in 13 of their 15 Premier League trips this season.

There have been 11 goals scored in the four games since Glasner took the reins at Selhurst Park and over 2.5 goals has landed in five of their last seven away games, so expect another high-scoring affair at the Vitality Stadium.
