Bournemouth have a real chance to qualify for Europe for the first time in their history this season as they currently sit eighth in the Premier League table, which should be enough for a place in the Conference League.
The Cherries host Aston Villa on Saturday and the visitors are bidding to secure UEFA Champions League football for the second successive campaign. Villa are seventh but they are only three points adrift of the top five.
Bournemouth to win - 7/5
Bournemouth had a rough patch that began in February and stretched into April but they appear to have recovered and are unbeaten in five ahead of Saturday’s visit of Aston Villa.
Andoni Iraola’s side claimed an unlikely win at Arsenal last time out and they are now in the driving seat for eighth place, while catching the visitors, who sit immediately above them in the table, isn’t out of the question either.
The Cherries look to be the form team here and in the end they were deserved winners at the Emirates Stadium last time out, albeit against an Arsenal side that will have had one eye on their midweek game against Paris Saint-Germain.
Aston Villa bounced back from their FA Cup semi final defeat by beating Fulham 1-0 at home last weekend but their overall form has been patchy.
The Villans have three defeats in their last seven games and have lost two of their last three on the road, as well as going down 3-0 to Crystal Palace on neutral territory in the Cup.
Bournemouth appear to be building towards a final push as they battle for European football, and with a bit of momentum and home advantage, they look good value to overcome Villa on Saturday.
The Cherries have endured some disappointing results at home of late, with defeats to Brentford, Wolves and relegated Ipswich, but they have four points from their last two games at the Vitality and they look well placed to follow up last week’s win at Arsenal by claiming three points against Aston Villa.
Antoine Semenyo to score at any time - 21/10
Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo has been getting plenty of chances this season as he averages an impressive 3.5 attempts per-game overall in the Premier League, and in home games that figure stands at 4.1.
The Ghana international has been converting fairly regularly as well, with nine goals in 34 games, and he comes into Saturday’s fixture in good form following two goals and an assist across his last four appearances.
Semenyo has scored in back-to-back home games for Bournemouth and he can make it three in a row when Villa arrive at the Vitality Stadium for the late Premier League game on Saturday.
Morgan Rogers over 1.5 shots on target - 5/1
One big-price player bet that is worth some consideration is over 1.5 shots on target for Aston Villa man Morgan Rogers.
Rogers has a solid haul of eight goals in 34 games this season and he averages 1.6 attempts per-game. When he does shoot, he tends to be fairly accurate as only 25% of his attempts are recorded as off target, with the rest an even split of either on target or blocked.
In games against key rivals Rogers has upped his workrate, as recently he had three attempts against Nottingham Forest and four against Newcastle.
Rogers will have a key role to play for Villa on Saturday and, at 5/1, he looks excellent value as an outside contender to record at least two attempts on target.
