With the 2026 World Cup on the horizon, Scotland continue their preparations with a friendly against Bolivia in New Jersey on Saturday.
Steve Clarke's team played their first friendly of the summer last week, beating Curacao 4-1 at Hampden Park. Not everything went to plan for Scotland last weekend, though, with midfielder Billy Gilmour picking up an injury that ruled him out of the World Cup.
While Scotland are trying to acclimatise to the conditions ahead of their Group C campaign, Bolivia failed to qualify.
Oscar Villegas's team finished seventh in CONMEBOL qualifying, which earned them a spot in the Inter-confederation play-offs, but they then fell to a 2-1 defeat to Iraq in the final, days after beating Suriname.

Best Bet: Scotland to win to nil @ 11/8
Clean sheets have been hard to come by for Clarke's troops and Scotland have conceded in seven consecutive matches. The Tartan Army last kept a clean sheet in September 2025, when they beat Belarus 2-0.
However, Saturday's match at the Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey looks like the perfect chance to restore some confidence at the back.
Bolivia have scored in three consecutive matches, but they have not played since April and they have a host of first-team players who are unavailable.
Diego Medina and Dieguito Rodriguez are unable to play due to VISA issues, while Moises Villarroel has left the camp to complete a transfer to CSKA Sofia.
Ramiro Vaca and Moises Paniagua were not given permission to travel for international duty, and Hector Cuellar and Jesus Maraude are both sidelined with injury.
Villegas has been left with very few options and he has named eight teenagers in his squad, which should mean it will be a struggle on the big stage against Scotland.
Alternative Bet: Over 2.5 Scotland goals @ 13/8
Scotland put four past Curacao last weekend, meaning they have now scored two or more goals in six of their last eight matches in all competitions.
Several players were given a rest against Curacao, meaning Clarke should name a stronger team for his second warm-up encounter and that does not bode well for Bolivia.
La Verde conceded 35 goals in qualifying, more than any other team. They conceded eight goals more than Chile, who finished with nine points fewer after 18 qualifiers.
Bolivia showed they were incapable of defending with most of their first team fit and firing, so they could be in for a long afternoon this weekend.
Lawrence Shankland to score any time
Scott McTominay to score any time
Pays 5/1
Scotland's players are playing for first-team spots in this summer's World Cup and striker Lawrence Shankland has certainly caught the eye in recent weeks.
Shankland, who has joined Rangers since the end of the Scottish Premiership campaign, scored twice against Curacao last weekend. He scored 16 goals for Hearts and will look to maintain his streak in front of goal against weaker opposition.
Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay is usually a threat as a box-to-box midfielder and he has often delivered the goods for his nation under Clarke.
McTominay has scored 13 goals in his last 32 matches for Scotland and he ended the Serie A campaign by scoring three times in seven outings.
