Blackburn will be happy to see the back of October, a month in which they recorded just one win from five attempts and they will be hoping to start November on a positive note with victory over a promotion rival.

Of Rovers' five games in October, all three defeats came on their travels, while the two home assignments produced a 1-0 victory over Swansea City and a 0-0 draw against West Brom.

Ewood Park has become a fortress for Blackburn and they haven't lost at home in the league this season, racking up five wins and a draw, while they have kept clean sheets in their last four contests in Lancashire.

Head coach John Eustace has been getting a tune out of his team in front of their own fans and they can use that hostile atmosphere to get one over on a United side who have struggled on the road.

A summer arrival, the Austria international has scored two goals from 12 Championship appearances, though just five of those have been starts as he continues to bed into the squad.

Weimann is averaging 1.2 shots on target per game in the league this term and he looks a solid option to maintain that ratio.

Rovers and United haven't been afraid to get stuck in this season, with the pair receiving 32 and 31 yellows respectively and Blades midfielder Vinicius Souza has been in the thick of the action more than others.

The 25-year-old Brazilian has already served a one-match suspension for picking up five cautions and he returned from that ban in normal fashion by getting booked against Stoke City last time out.

Souza has been cautioned in each of his last two matches and with the tackles expected to be flying in at Ewood Park, it would be no surprise to see him fall foul of the referee again.
