Left-back Lee Buchanan is out for at least the next two months with a calf injury, meaning new arrival Alex Cochrane is set to start in the back four.
Club captain Andy Yiadom is recovering from a knee issue he sustained earlier in the year and Saturday’s opening will come too soon for him.
Defensive duo Jeriel Dorsett and Kelvin Abrefa are both slight doubts for the weekend, but manager Ruben Selles is hopeful they can feature in some capacity.
