We review the most popular single bets placed by our customers on Premier League football so far this season, with Newcastle heavily backed to win the title and Chelsea to be relegated.
As of bets placed since the opening day of the Premier League season on 11th August - when Man City dismantled newly promoted Burnley 3-0 at Turf Moor - our traders have shared where punters have placed the most single bets on prominent markets including Outright winner, To be Relegated and Top Goalscorer.

After upsetting the odds to finish in the Top 4 last term, Eddie Howe's Newcastle have been backed by just over one-in-five (20.4%) of bettors in the To Win Outright market since the latest Premier League season kickstarted on 11th August, with the Magpies making a strong start to the campaign.
Ange Postecoglou's swashbuckling Spurs side have tempted the second most punters at 15.6%, with impressive Arsenal and Liverpool outfits receiving 11.7% and 11.2% of the betting share respectively.
Just 4.8% of bets on this market have been on reigning champions Man City, with Pep Guardiola's side remaining odds-on favourites at 4/6 to retain their Premier League crown.

After making a wretched start to their Premier League campaign under new boss Mauricio Pochettino - winning just one of their first six matches - Chelsea have been the most backed team by bet365 customers (18.9%) to be relegated to the Championship since the season began.
Everton, who made an equally appalling start - winless in their opening five Premier League outings - have been next in the betting with 15.1% of punters in this market tipping the Toffees to go down.
Chelsea and Everton are remarkably the only two teams to have received more bets to go down than current league leaders Tottenham with 8.9% of the bet share, with punters perhaps unconvinced by the appointment of Ange Postecoglou at the start of the campaign and sceptical of Spurs' ability to cope with the loss of Harry Kane.
Despite having been odds-on to go down since the beginning of the season, Luton Town have still been bet on to be relegated the fifth most times amongst the whole division (6.8%).
Player | % of bets placed * | Current league goals | Latest Top Goalscorer odds |
Alexander Isak | 19.6% | 6 | 33/1 |
Darwin Nunez | 11.6% | 3 | 100/1 |

Newcastle United hitman Alexander Isak has received the strongest backing in the Top Goalscorer market since 11th August with 19.6% of bets, with the Swedish international currently joint-fourth in the standings after notching six Premier League goals so far this term.
Liverpool livewire Darwin Nunez has also been a popular punt with 11.6% of bets, whilst Son Heung-min is third in the list on 8% with bettors perhaps enticed by the South Korean's transition into a central striking berth following the departure of Harry Kane in the summer.
After a record-breaking debut season at Man City last term, Norwegian sensation Erling Haaland has shown no signs of letting off so far in this campaign with nine goals to date.
It is therefore unsurprising that the ex-Borussia Dortmund striker is odds-on favourite at 2/7 to finish as the Premier League's Top Goalscorer for the second year in a row, with Haaland receiving the sixth most bets in this market since the start of the campaign, amounting to 6.3% of the overall sample.
