Following defeats to Aston Villa and Barcelona, Bayern Munich need a victory over Benfica to get their UEFA Champions League campaign back on track.
Bayern's only win in the competition this season came on Matchday One when they hammered Dinamo Zagreb 9-2 and since then Vincent Kompany's side have lost 1-0 at Villa Park and 4-1 in Barcelona to leave them down in 23rd place in the 36-team table.
Benfica are on six points after their first three games after wins over Crvena zvezda and Atletico Madrid, although they will also be aiming to bounce back from defeat after losing 3-1 at home to Feyenoord in their most recent UEFA Champions League outing.
Bayern Munich to win and both teams to score - 13/10
Bayern's problems this season have all come in the UEFA Champions League as Kompany's side are unbeaten domestically, sitting three points clear at the top of the Bundesliga with seven wins from their first nine games.
Since the 4-1 reverse at Barcelona on Matchday Three, the Bavarian giants have recorded three straight victories without conceding and head into Wednesday's tie on the back of a comfortable 3-0 home win in the league over Union Berlin on Saturday.
It's telling that their two defeats in Europe have come on the road and back at the Fußball Arena München they are expected to get the better of Benfica and pick up a much-needed three points.
Bayern have won four of their five home matches in all competitions with only Bayer Leverkusen leaving Bavaria with anything after they picked up a 1-1 draw in the league at the end of September.
While a home victory looks likely, Benfica will fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet as they also approach Wednesday's clash in good form.
Bruno Lage's side have won their last three games domestically and are third in the top flight in Portugal having picked up seven wins from their first nine games, scoring in all but one of their outings overall.
Benfica got off to an ideal start in the UEFA Champions League when they saw off Crvena Zvezda 2-1 away and the 4-0 home success over Atletico Madrid that followed was particularly impressive.
That performance suggests they can cause Bayern problems, even if they still fall short of getting anything out of the game.
Jamal Musiala to score anytime - 7/5
Jamal Musiala has enjoyed a strong start to the season for Bayern, scoring seven goals in 12 appearances in all competitions.
However, the Germany international has yet to find the back of the net in the UEFA Champions League this term so he will be keen to put that right against Benfica.
The 21-year-old, who has chipped in with two assists in the competition, scored a hat-trick at Mainz last week in the DFB-Pokal and he is sure to be one of the Bayern players Benfica will have to try and keep quiet.
Musiala was replaced in the second half with Bayern 3-0 up and the game won against Union at the weekend in order to keep him as fresh as possible for this Benfica clash, so he should be ready to make an impact in midweek.
Alexander Bah to be booked - 9/4
Alexander Bah is likely to be in for a busy evening as part of the Benfica defence, with the right-back set to be tested by Bayern winger Serge Gnabry, who is expected to start out wide on the left for the hosts.
Bah has yet to be booked this season but he has given away 11 fouls in all competitions, with only two Benfica players - Vangelis Pavlidis and Florentino Luis - guilty of conceding more.
As well as trying to keep Gnabry in check, Bah could come up against several other attacking threats with Bayern's options going forward plentiful.
Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Thomas Muller, Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman are all vying to feature at some point.
