Bayer Leverkusen to win and both teams to score - 21/10

Leverkusen remain in contention for domestic and European glory and having already wrapped up the Bundesliga title, now the Europa League is in Xabi Alonso's sights.

A home win looks likely in the second leg as Bayer aim to keep up their fantastic form and, despite them being 2-0 up and not needing to force the issue at the BayArena, they have a proud unbeaten record in all competitions to protect.

Moreover, they come into this game with confidence soaring. Named league champions for the first time just a few weeks ago, even a much-changed side blasted five past Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend to make it an incredible 48 games unbeaten in all competitions this season.  

Roma may simply not be able to live with the well-drilled hosts once again over the course of the second leg.

An early goal for Bayer would settle the tie but we should also expect the Italians to score on the night, even if it will probably not be enough to get them back into the tie.

The first leg was the first game in six in which Roma have failed to score in, but sadly for Daniele De Rossi's side they also struggle to keep the opposition out as they have not managed a clean sheet in any of their last six matches in all competitions. 

They recorded a 1-1 draw at home to Juventus at the weekend and in Romelu Lukaku, who notched his 20th goal of the season in that draw, they do have a proven frontman who can hurt even the best sides.

Florian Wirtz to score any time - 5/2

Wirtz is one of Germany's hottest prospects and he has been an integral member of Alonso's side as they have dominated in the Bundesliga this term.

The 21-year-old has been lethal in the final third for Leverkusen, scoring 18 goals in all competitions, while he is one of they key creative players for Alonso as he's also got 19 assists to his name.

The Germany international got Leverkusen in front in the first leg with a goal after 28 minutes and he was then given the weekend off in order to be fresh for the second game.

Wirtz will be tasked with hurting Roma again and he looks solid value at 5/2 to score at any time on Thursday.

Leandro Paredes to be booked - 5/4

Leandro Paredes has been Roma’s bad-boy this season, accumulating 14 yellow cards in Serie A and two so far in the Europa League.

That figure of 16 means he has comfortably been booked more than anyone else in the Roma squad throughout the campaign so it seems a good idea to back him in the bookings market at odds of 5/4 on Thursday.

Paredes will have to try and stop some swift Leverkusen attacks as the midfielder attempts to keep the likes of Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong quiet and it would be no surprise to see him back in trouble with the referee in Germany.
