Bayer Leverkusen have left themselves a mountain to climb to qualify for the last eight of the UEFA Champions League after losing 3-0 at Bayern Munich last week.
They are bidding to become just the fifth away team to overturn a first-leg deficit of three goals or more in the history of the competition.

Bayern have got one foot in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals following their 3-0 win at home against Leverkusen in the first leg of their last-16 tie last Wednesday.
The home side were outstanding against a surprisingly meek Die Werkself, who were already two goals behind when right-back Nordi Mukiele was sent off.
It was the first time in six meetings with the Bavarian giants that Die Schwarzroten boss Xabi Alonso had lost and the Spaniard could have had few complaints.
Now it means they face a virtual mission impossible and will have to go into battle not only minus Mukiele, but also one of the Bundesliga's stars of the season, Florian Wirtz, who has an ankle injury.
Wirtz picked that up coming off the bench in Saturday's poor 2-0 home loss to Werder Bremen in the league.
Alonso had gambled on team selection with more than one eye on the Bayern return and his punts backfired as Leverkusen suffered back-to-back losses for the first time since May 2023.
That they are still eight points behind Bayern is down to the fact that Vincent Kompany also made sweeping changes for the weekend visit of Bochum - and those, too, backfired.
His side were cruising at 2-0 before Joao Palhinha's red card emboldened Bochum, who went on to record a famous 3-2 win.
For Alonso and Kompany, this is the only game that matters, hence the weekend hiccups, and the Leverkusen coach has presided over a 3-0 home win against Munich - in the league in February 2024 - so he knows anything is possible.
And they have scored three goals or more in home fixtures this season on seven occasions.
However, they have played Bayern at home in the league as recently as three weeks ago, a game that ended 0-0.
This time Leverkusen will have to be positive at the BayArena and look to the likes of Patrik Schick or Nathan Tella to just have one of those nights.
However, it is arguably more likely that Harry Kane has one of his big performances and adds to the nine goals he has scored in the tournament so far and the 32 he has for his club across all competitions.
Over 3.5 Goals - 7/4
Kompany would dearly love his side to be able to take the steam out of the occasion, silence the BayArena and just ease into the last eight with the minimum of fuss.
However, it is hard to believe Leverkusen won't throw everything at the Bavarians and one goal - at either end - could well light a touchpaper.
This has become a low-scoring fixture - the last five meetings have produced a total of nine goals - though it never used to be that way.
And we know these teams can lay on thrillers with Leverkusen's Bundesliga matches averaging 3.4 goals a time this season and Bayern's a whopping 3.9.
Bayern's 11 UEFA Champions League games this term have produced 40 goals.
Over 3.5 Bayern Munich Corners - 5/6
Given that Leverkusen need to take risks at some point against their big rivals, expect Bayern to get opportunities to score on the counter.
And, with the pace of the likes of Alphonso Davies, Jamal Musiala and Michael Olise, expect them to chalk up corners as well as chances.
In the first leg, the 3-0 Bayern win, the Bavarian powers won the corners battle 5-1.
At the BayArena it ought to be Leverkusen winning that contest - they average a remarkable Bundesliga-high 8.0 corners per home game in the league.
Bayern have won more corners than any other club in this season's UEFA Champions League with 88 in total - 10 more than next-best Paris Saint-Germain - at exactly 8 per game.
Their 2-way corners total in Leverkusen is set at 3.5 and they can soar past that mark.
