Rangers legend Barry Ferguson has been appointed as the club's interim manager until the end of the season following the sacking of Philippe Clement.
The Govan giants have endured a miserable season thus far, with a humiliating Scottish Cup fifth round defeat at home to Queen's Park meaning the Gers look destined to end the 2024/25 campaign without any domestic silverware.
Former Rangers midfielder Ferguson will now step in and attempt to steady the ship at Ibrox from now until the end of the season.
Previously caretaker manager of Blackpool and in charge of Scottish lower league clubs Clyde, Kelty Hearts and Alloa Athletic, Ferguson has been out of coaching since February 2022.
A product of Rangers' youth academy, Ferguson developed into a firm fans' favourite at Ibrox - becoming club captain at the age of 22.
A winner of 15 major honours at Ibrox as a player, the Rangers board will hope the arrival of Ferguson can help galvanise the squad and supporters for the remainder of the season.
