The quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia take place this month and first up is a Tuesday night showdown in Bergamo between last year’s runners-up Atalanta and two-time winners Bologna.
Atalanta fell just short of landing a second Coppa Italia crown last season as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat to Juventus in the final.
La Dea continue their bid to go one better on Tuesday as they welcome Bologna to the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo.
Both of these sides come into this clash in decent form as Atalanta are unbeaten in four, while Bologna have gone seven games without defeat and have three wins in their last five.
Draw or Bologna double chance - 21/20
Atalanta go into the game as clear favourites at 8/11 but Bologna are a puzzle La Dea have struggled to solve in recent meetings and backing the visitors to either draw or win looks like a solid option.
After a host of summer exits and a change in manager, Bologna predictably struggled but they’ve steadied the ship over the last few months and have once again become a side that are incredibly tough to break down.
I Veltri are unbeaten in 2025, a run stretching seven games, and going back further they have just one defeat in their last 14 games across all competitions.
Bologna haven’t lost on their travels since November and have lost only two of their Serie A trips this season, while La Dea have managed just two wins in their last nine games across all competitions - against Austria’s Sturm Graz in the UEFA Champions League and relegation-threatened Como in Serie A.
The visitors also have a strong recent record against Atalanta with three wins and a draw in the last four meetings, so they should at least be able to take this tie to a penalty shoot-out if not win the game outright in 90 minutes.
Charles De Ketelaere anytime goalscorer - 2/1
Bologna may be able to get a result, but a clean sheet for the visitors could be a step too far as Atalanta have scored in all of their domestic home games this season.
One strong contender for a La Dea goal is Belgian forward Charles De Ketelaere, who has been Atalanta’s cup king this season.
De Ketelaere has a respectable five goals in 20 Serie A games but has been deadly in cup games - hitting four goals in eight UEFA Champions League matches and grabbing two strikes in his only Coppa Italia appearance this term.
Remo Freuler to be booked - 5/2
Bologna’s Remo Freuler was booked within one minute of his last meeting with former club Atalanta and he looks the standout bet to be booked in this quarter-final tie.
The Switzerland international has six yellow cards in 30 games across all competitions this season and has two yellow cards in his last three appearances against La Dea.
Freuler has also picked up cards in two of his last three games across all competitions and he could find himself in the referee’s notebook once again on Tuesday evening.
