After missing out on a place in the Europa Conference League final, Aston Villa will be hoping to bounce back when they welcome Liverpool to Villa Park for the final Monday night football of the season in the Premier League.
Villa were denied an appearance in a first European final for 42 years after losing home and away to Olympiakos, but with a return to Europe already guaranteed for next season, they can now lock down a top-four finish if they get the better of Liverpool.
The Reds saw their title challenge officially ended over the weekend, but they will still be determined to put on a show in what will be Jurgen Klopp's penultimate match in charge.
Aston Villa v Liverpool will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.
The match kicks-off at 20:00 on Monday 13th May and will take place at Aston Villa's home ground of Villa Park in the Aston region of Birmingham.
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last seven meetings with Villa, winning six of those games, with their last defeat in the fixture coming in spectacular fashion - a 7-2 loss at Villa Park in October 2020.
That emphatic result is also the only time the Reds have failed to win in their last nine league visits to Villa.
A victory on Monday would see Villa equal a club record for Premier League wins in a season (21) and home victories (13) both of which were set during the 1992/93 campaign.
Unai Emery's side have taken just one point from their last two top-flight fixtures and are on a four-match winless run across all competitions.
Liverpool ended their own sticky patch with a home success against Tottenham last time out, but it is just one win in four league matches for Klopp's side on the road.
