Round One of qualifying for the Women's UEFA Champions League gets under way this week and among the standout fixtures is Arsenal Women v Rangers Women.
The all-British affair will take place at Meadow Park with the winners progressing to the final of the mini-tournament in which they will face either Atletico Madrid or Rosenborg.
For Arsenal, they are looking to book their spot in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League after missing out on the competition last season.
And they are strong favourites to progress at the expense of the Blue Belles, who finished second in the Scottish Women's Premier League last term.
Arsenal Women to win 3-0 - 13/2
Value bets are few and far between for this contest given that Arsenal are priced at 1/16 to win the match but the correct score market could be worth a look.
This will be Arsenal's first competitive fixture of the season but they can draw confidence from how they finished last campaign, when they went unbeaten in their last seven matches.
They posted wins in five of those matches and kept clean sheets against the likes of Chelsea, Bristol City, Leicester City and Brighton as part of that run.
It is therefore fair to say they are defensively sound and they should not be caused too many problems by Rangers, who are a few levels below their London-based counterparts.
But Arsenal also have bite going forward, having racked up 53 goals in just 22 WSL fixtures last season - that is an average of 2.4 goals per game.
Prominent forward Alessia Russo will likely spearhead the Arsenal attack as she did for much of last campaign as well as in pre-season.
But she is ably supported and Arsenal could also welcome back key forward Beth Mead ahead of this qualifying contest.
As this is a one-legged affair forming part of a mini-tournament, there is little margin for error for the Gunners, who will not want to be without UEFA Champions League football for a second successive campaign.
They can therefore be expected to attack this fixture and field a full-strength side, which is not good news for Rangers.
The disparity between Rangers and the rest of the Scottish Women's Premier League has been clear to see in the opening stages of the 2024/25 season with the Glasgow club racking up five wins from five matches and scoring an eye-watering 43 goals in the process.
They battered Dundee United 10-0 in their opening match of September but Arsenal represent a gigantic step up and a heavy defeat could await them.
Rangers are in good enough form that they should not be humiliated but a 3-0 win for Arsenal makes an appeal in the correct score betting.
Arsenal to lead 1-0 at Half Time - 11/4
The fact this is a one-legged qualifier means Arsenal could well explode out of the blocks to avoid any early slip-ups at Meadow Park and the first-half correct score is another market to consider.
Rangers have not conceded so far this season and, while the attacking quality they are up against increases significantly on Wednesday, they should still keep things relatively tight in the opening period.
With that in mind, a bet on Arsenal to lead just 1-0 at the break could be worth a bet at 11/4.
