Arsenal Women will be looking to continue their impressive run of form when they host Juventus Women in the women’s UEFA Champions League on Thursday.
Given the exit of manager Jonas Eidevall in October, it is fair to say it has been a turbulent start to the season for Arsenal Women.
Eidevall had been at the north London club since 2021 and there was no obvious replacement when he departed his role.
But Renee Slegers was handed the interim role and she has got the Gunners firing again.
Arsenal are ascending the Women's Super League standings and are in contention to progress from their UEFA Champions League group, so Juventus could be up against it at the Emirates Stadium.
Juve have won just one of their three contests in the group stage of the competition and were hammered 4-0 when these sides met in Italy earlier this month.
Arsenal Women -2 goals on handicap - 20/21
Slegers is yet to lose a match as Arsenal Women's head coach, having overseen five wins and one draw in her first six matches in charge.
Heading into this fixture, Arsenal have won their last three matches by a combined aggregate scoreline of 12-0, smashing Brighton 5-0 and rivals Tottenham 3-0 in the WSL.
Sandwiched between those league wins was a 4-0 dismantling of Juventus in Biella earlier this month and they cannot stop scoring at the moment.
There is also little chance of them slowing down when they take on Juventus at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday given the Gunners are not yet mathematically assured of a spot in the quarter-finals.
A win, however, will secure Arsenal's place in the last eight of the Women's UEFA Champions League, provided that group leaders Bayern Munich pick up at least a point in their game with Valerenga.
Juventus have not done anything in this competition to suggest they will cause an upset against Arsenal, having lost two of their three fixtures and scoring just one goal in the group stage.
Arsenal have enviable depth throughout their squad but especially in attack, where they can call on Alessia Russo, Mariona Caldentey, Frida Maanum, Caitlin Foord, Beth Mead and Stina Blackstenius among others.
They are therefore not the kind of side to take their foot off the pedal when they get in front and the hosts are worth backing to beat Juventus Women by three or more goals.
Frida Maanum to score at any time - 6/4
Norwegian ace Maanum has played a key role in Arsenal's recent revival and she is worth backing to get on the scoresheet against Juventus.
Maanum, who has been deployed in attacking midfield behind striker Russo recently, has scored in each of Arsenal's last three wins against Brighton, Juventus and Tottenham.
She will be feeling good about her current involvement and in front of her own fans, the Norwegian could again do some damage for the Gunners.
Russo is a 20/21 shot to score at any time, while Beth Mead is 20/21 and Stina Blackstenius is 20/21.
