Arsenal and Bayern Munich have both already qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2024/25 UEFA Women's Champions League but they will still want to sign off from the group stage with a win.

The first-placed team will avoid meeting a group winner in the next stage, although only one of the eight likely qualifiers has lost more than once in the competition so far, so a tough fixture lies in wait whatever the result.

Arsenal and Bayern are both the same price to win the UEFA Women's Champions League at 8/1 and there may not be much between them in their second Group C clash in Hertfordshire on Wednesday.

Bayern's superiority at set-pieces paved the way for their 5-2 success in the opening group game as a 13-minute hat-trick from Pernille Harder saw Bayern pull clear in the final 20 minutes.

Another match featuring seven goals between these teams is probably too much to ask for but they are capable of grabbing a couple each in what should be another entertaining game and a 2-2 correct-score bet could offer some value.

Bayern have scored at least two goals in seven of their last eight games and while only five teams have scored more than once in a match against them this season, that includes Arsenal.

The Gunners have scored 28 goals in the current 10-match unbeaten run, conceding only three goals in that time, but their worst defensive performance of the season by far came against the German side and they have to prove they have figured out how to overcome the visitors' set-piece expertise.

German national team forward Klara Buhl provided assists for two of Bayern's five goals in the teams' first meeting and looks a value selection to get on the scoresheet herself this time.

The 24-year-old scored her 27th international goal in her 62nd appearance for Die Nationalelf in a 4-3 friendly win against England in October.

She was on target in the recent game against Carl-Zeiss Jena in the Women's Bundesliga and grabbed her team's third goal in last week's 4-0 UEFA Women's Champions League win over Juventus.
