Arsenal and Manchester United lock horns at the Emirates on Sunday when the duo face off in the third round of the FA Cup.

The Gunners have fallen at this stage of the competition in two of the last three editions, while the Red Devils haven't been knocked out in round three since the 2013/14 campaign.

This will be the first time these two have met in the FA Cup since January 2019, when United recorded a 3-1 victory at the Emirates thanks to goals from Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial.

Arsenal and United are in the midst of contrasting seasons, with the Gunners sitting second in the Premier League and the Red Devils languishing down in 13th position.

Ruben Amorim hasn't had the desired effect since taking over from the sacked Erik ten Hag, with the Portuguese boss overseeing just four wins from his 12 matches in charge.

There did look to be signs of revival for United in December's 2-1 derby win over Manchester City, but four successive defeats and a draw in all competitions since has brought the doom and gloom back and the manager even admitted his side are in a relegation battle.

United did perform well in the 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield last time out, a contest the visitors arguably should have won given the chances they created, but those type of performances have been few and far between this term.

A trip to Arsenal is up next for Amorim's side and it's hard to look past anything other than a win for the Gunners, who beat the Red Devils 2-0 at the Emirates on 4th December in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta's troops have recorded seven home wins with a clean sheet this season and they look capable of shutting out United, who had gone three matches without scoring before the 2-2 with Liverpool.

Arsenal will be itching to get back to winning ways quickly following Tuesday's EFL Cup semi-final, first-leg 2-0 defeat to Newcastle and that should spell bad news for Amorim's men.

Arsenal have been excellent at set-pieces in the league this season, scoring a division-high 10 times, and they will be licking their lips going up against a United side that have been dismal defending these situations.

Only Wolves (15) and Southampton (11) have conceded more goals from set-pieces than the Red Devils (10) in the Premier League, who have chopped and changed at the back but have yet to find the right balance.

With United still adapting to Amorim's methods and formation, defensive errors are commonplace right now and Arsenal centre-back William Saliba offers great value at 14/1 to net at any time.

The 23-year-old France international has scored twice this season, with the first of those coming in the 2-0 win over United in December, and he can add to his tally on Sunday.

Diogo Dalot to commit over 1.5 fouls - 5/4

Diogo Dalot has been deployed as one of the wing-backs under Amorim and while the Portugal international has been positive coming forward, he has looked suspect in defence.

The 25-year-old picked up his fourth yellow card of the campaign in the 2-2 draw against Liverpool last time out and the 15/4 on him to get cautioned again offers some value.

However, backing Dalot to commit over 1.5 fouls is the play here, as this bet has landed in his last two appearances against the Reds and Newcastle.

The former Porto ace has made at least two fouls in five of his last eight games and he may struggle when coming up against the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard.
