With the 2024/25 Saudi Pro League on the horizon, attention turns to the Saudi Super Cup this month.
The Saudi Super Cup used to be a two-team competition, but the current version features four teams. The winners and runners-up of the King Cup and Saudi Pro League compete for silverware, with Al Hilal, Al Ahli, Al-Nassr and Al Taawoun all braced for action this month.

Al Hilal v Al Ahli is scheduled to start at 17:15 BST on Tuesday 13th August and it will take place at the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium in Abha, Saudi Arabia.
Al Hilal go into the game as the defending Saudi Pro League champions, having won the league by 14 points last season.
Al Hilal won a record fourth Saudi Super Cup in April, while they will also enter the new season as domestic treble winners, having also won the Saudi King Cup.
Al Ahli finished third last season to qualify for the AFC Champions League Elite league stage, and they ended the previous campaign without losing any of their final four matches.
Al Hilal have had the upper hand in the head-to-head clashes, winning 35 of the 70 meetings.

Al Hilal boss Jorge Jesus will still be without forward Neymar as he continues his recovery from a knee injury. However, he still has the likes of Yassine Bounou, Kalidou Koulibaly, Renan Lodi, Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Malcom at his disposal.
Al Ahli have allowed winger Allan Saint-Maximin to join Fenerbahce on loan ahead of the new season.
Coach Matthias Jaissle has numerous selection woes to contend with, as Abdullah Otayf, Ali Majrashi, Haitham Asiri, Mohammed Al-Majhad and Abdullah Al-Ammar are all sidelined.
