Monday night’s sole offering from the EFL arrives in League Two as play-off hopefuls AFC Wimbledon take on Gillingham at Plough Lane.
The Dons will be hopeful of returning to winning ways after failing to register a victory in either of their last two league matches, with Johnnie Jackson’s men still firmly in the mix for a top three finish come the end of the campaign.
Gillingham meanwhile, despite starting the campaign strongly, have fallen away from the top seven - heading into the weekend’s fixtures in 13th - and they will be aware of their poor record at Wimbledon leading into this contest, with their last victory at Plough Lane coming back in 2019.
AFC Wimbledon to win - 3/4
Wimbledon have struggled for consistency in recent weeks however they are on a three match unbeaten run at Plough Lane and they will feel confident in extending this run against the Gills on Monday.
The Dons have won just two of their last seven in all competitions however they do possess one of the best home records in the fourth tier - with only league leaders Walsall (26) accruing more points in front of their own fans than Wimbledon (21).
Mark Bonner’s Gillingham possess an identical record to Wimbledon over the course of their last five games in all competitions (two wins, two losses and one draw) but they have won just one of their last seven matches away from Priestfield Stadium.
Their troubles on the road have also seen them score just six away league goals - only Barrow have netted fewer (five) - and their wastefulness in front of goal may see them come away with nothing in this contest.
Under 2.5 goals - 13/20
Neither Wimbledon nor Gillingham have been involved in many high-scoring affairs over the course of recent weeks and another low-scoring contest could be in store.
Each of Wimbledon’s last four matches have seen no more than two goals scored, with only one of these contests seeing both sides find the back of the net - a 1-1 draw at home to Ian Holloway’s Swindon last time out.
Four of Gillingam’s last five away matches in all competitions have also seen winners in the under 2.5 goals market and so signs would point towards another tight affair.
Matty Stevens to score anytime - 2/1
While goals have been somewhat hard to come by for Wimbledon in recent weeks - the Dons have failed to score more than once in any of their last four - they do possess one of the form strikers in the division.
Matty Stevens - who joined from Forest Green Rovers in the summer - has adapted to life at Plough Lane seamlessly this season, netting 11 goals so far in the fourth tier, as well as laying on one assist.
Seven of the 26-year-old's league tally have come in front of the Dons faithful and so home advantage could see the striker find the scoresheet once again.
