AC Milan to win and both teams to score - 21/10
After losing their first two UEFA Champions League games this season to Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen, AC Milan have responded superbly with four straight victories.
Wins over Club Brugge, a standout 3-1 success at reigning European champions Real Madrid and narrow victories over Slovan Bratislava and Crvena Zvezda have propelled the Italian giants up the table and they are firmly in contention for a top-eight slot in the new League Phase.
Sergio Conceicao has already guided Milan to a trophy in his short time in charge after his side dramatically beat local rivals Inter 3-2 in the Italian Super Cup Final earlier this month and the former Porto boss has won three of his first five games at the helm.
He did suffer his first defeat in a 2-0 Serie A loss at Juventus on Saturday but Milan should bounce back immediately with an important win in Europe in midweek.
All of their victories in this competition have come when the opposition have also found the back of the net and Girona look capable of continuing that trend at the Stadio San Siro.
The Spanish side are close to exiting the UEFA Champions League as they sit down in 30th place having managed just one win so far, over Slovan Bratislava.
The debutants have lost to Paris Saint-Germain, Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven, Sturm Graz and Liverpool and to stand a chance of finishing in the top 24 and landing a play-off place they must win in midweek.
However, it's a task that looks beyond them, although they can at least get on the scoresheet, making it five games in a row when Michel's men have registered at least one goal.
Alvaro Morata anytime goalscorer - 6/4
Milan striker Alvaro Morata was an injury concern in the build-up to the clash after he suffered a knock in the recent win over Como but he trained on Monday without any issues and the Spain international should be in the starting line-up.
Morata has managed six goals this season, with just one of those coming in the UEFA Champions League, but he found the net in the recent draw with Cagliari in Serie A and he has generally looked sharp up front in the past few months.
The 32-year-old has had 20 shots in total in his last 10 appearances for the Rossoneri and he should get some good opportunities against a Girona defence that has conceded 10 goals in their six European outings this season.
Theo Hernandez over 2.5 shots - 1/1
Theo Hernandez has been getting forward for Milan regularly this season with the defender weighing in with four goals in all competitions.
The France international scored in the Italian Super Cup final win over Inter on 6th January and then followed up with another goal in the league victory over Como last week.
He failed to add to his tally despite having four shots in the weekend defeat to Juve, and Hernandez has also registered four shots in the matches against Cagliari on 11th January and Roma at the end of last year to underline his liking for having a pop at goal when the opportunity arises.
