Aberdeen v Queen's Park: Free Tips, Prediction and Odds

Queen's Park will look to continue their remarkable Scottish Cup run when they travel to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen on Saturday in the quarter-finals.

The Championship outfit stunned Rangers in the previous round to book their spot in the last eight and they are once again outsiders to prevail on the road.

Aberdeen are not in the form they were over the opening months of the season but they still sit fourth in the Scottish Premiership, while Queen's Park are sixth in the Championship and need to make up ground if they are to have any chance of earning promotion this season.

Half Time Result - Draw - 13/10

Aberdeen fans certainly enjoyed themselves over the opening months of the season, when Jimmy Thelin's side gave them plenty to cheer.

The Dons started the campaign with a 16-match unbeaten run before their season came to a halt after a 6-0 thrashing from Celtic in the Scottish League Cup.

Thelin's team failed to win any of their 12 games between the end of November and the middle of January, but a 3-0 win over Elgin City in the Scottish Cup got them back on track.

Aberdeen have won four of their last eight in all competitions, including a 3-0 success over Dunfermline Athletic in the previous round of this competition.

With Queen's Park playing in the Scottish Championship, it would be easy to suggest a home win, but the Dons have been slow starters.

Queen's Park have only lost one of their last five away games in all competitions and have kept things tight by keeping four clean sheets in that time.

Aberdeen have only been leading seven times in 29 league matches this season by half time, and Thelin's troops have only scored 12 first-half goals, so a draw at the break looks great value.

In addition, the Dons only just beat Queen's Park 1-0 in the League Cup in August, needing a 90th-minute winner from Topi Keskinen.

Both teams to score - Yes - 6/5

While Queen's Park have been solid on the road of late, only one of those games came against Premiership opposition, and although their win over Rangers was a historic achievement, the Gers soon parted ways with former boss Philippe Clement.

Callum Davidson's side have since lost 2-1 to Hamilton Academical and 3-2 to Ayr United, but the former left-back rested players against Ayr in preparation for Saturday's trip to Pittodrie.

While their success over Rangers grabbed the headlines, Queen's Park needed a penalty shootout to beat Partick Thistle after a 2-2 draw and they only edged Montrose 3-2 after extra-time earlier in the competition.

Aberdeen will be expected to win comfortably, especially with home advantage. However, Queen's Park have been involved in some lively games already and have nothing to lose, so they should be able to contribute to an entertaining cup tie.

Kevin Nisbet to score anytime - 11/8

If Aberdeen are to succeed, striker Kevin Nisbet should be central to their success.

Nisbet joined the club from Millwall on loan in August and he may have done enough to earn a permanent move to Pittodrie, with the 27-year-old having scored nine goals in 27 appearances in all competitions, although he has only recently managed to find his rhythm.

The Scotland international has scored four goals in five appearances in all competitions, including a brace in his last outing against Dundee United.

Aberdeen will lean heavily on Nisbet's experience in the final third and he will expect to score against a Queen's Park defence that has conceded in five of their last eight Championship matches.
