Fleetwood Town and West Bromwich Albion will be keen to build on their opening day league victories when they meet in the EFL Cup first round on Tuesday evening.
The Baggies produced an eye-catching performance in their Championship curtain-raiser as a Josh Maja hat-trick helped them to come from behind and beat Queens Park Rangers 3-1 at Loftus Road.
Meanwhile, Fleetwood began life in League Two with a 1-0 home win against Grimsby Town.
Fleetwood v West Brom will be broadcast live on the Sky Sports+ channel.
Fleetwood v West Brom will be played at Highbury Stadium in Fleetwood and kick-off is at 19:45 BST on Tuesday 13th August 2024.
Fleetwood have only previously reached the third round of the EFL Cup on one occasion, which came in the 2020/2021 season when they were knocked out by Everton.
In their 12 seasons in the EFL Cup since achieving league status for the first time ahead of the 2012/2013 season, Fleetwood have been eliminated in the first round on nine occasions.
The Baggies won the EFL Cup in the 1965/66 campaign and went on to reach the final in two of the four years afterwards.
West Brom last reached the fourth round in the 2014/2015 season and went one step further by getting to the quarter-finals in 2010/2011.
Tuesday's first round tie will be the first ever meeting between the two sides.
