Five Premier League stars targeted by ambitious Napoli

As sure as night follows day, Antonio Conte achieves success with a club, has a falling-out with the board, and departs in heated fashion.

In the immediate aftermath of Napoli's Serie A win, Conte is reported to have made a list of demands to the club's board, threatening to walk if they're not met.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding who will be in the Napoli dugout next season, the rumour mill is in full swing regarding potential arrivals at the club.

Jonathan David is expected to join the club on a free transfer to bolster their forward options with the newly crowned champions likely to raid the Premier League for a number of targets.

Napoli signed Scott McTominay, who had a remarkable season, as well as Billy Gilmour and Romelu Lukaku from the Premier League last summer (even if Lukaku had spent the previous two campaigns on loan in Serie A), and we look at five players they're reported to be targeting this summer.

Alejandro Garnacho

Following the winter departure of Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, Napoli made a move for Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho. The Red Devils knocked back a £40m bid, but after a reported falling-out between player and head coach Ruben Amorim, the Argentine may be allowed to leave for a similar fee.

Garnacho is 6/4 to to join Napoli in the summer.

Jack Grealish

Despite Pep Guardiola's impassioned defence of Jack Grealish, his clear lack of trust in the former Aston Villa man means he'll likely be departing the Etihad in the summer. It's not clear who Napoli's prime targets are, but they'll clearly be after an upgrade on Giacomo Raspadori, and Grealish may fit the bill.

Grealish is 6/4 to join Napoli in the summer.

Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne has shown this season that, when fit, he's still an elite playmaker, and if he can stay fit, whoever signs him will get a top-class midfielder.

The Belgian's injury issues are well documented, and his wage demands seem to have put a lot of Premier League clubs off, leaving Napoli in the driving seat.

De Bruyne appears to have snubbed moves to MLS and Saudi Arabia, and it looks like he'll be swapping one sky blue shirt for another.

Darwin Nunez

While the likely arrival of Jonathan David leaves Napoli well stocked with centre forwards, Darwin Nunez's versatility could make him a useful addition to the Azzurri.

While Arne Slot has had a remarkable impact on a number of Liverpool players in his maiden campaign, Nunez seems to have gone backwards. It's hard to see the Uruguayan fitting in under Slot and a move away from Anfield seems likely.

Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid have been linked, as has a switch to Saudi Arabia, but a move to Napoli can't yet be ruled out.

Napoli are 8/1 to sign Nunez.

Benoit Badiashile

After Chelsea made it their business to sign as many players as they possibly could, it quickly became apparent that some talented players would be under-utilised

Still under contract for another five years, Badiashile is under no obligation to move anywhere for the foreseeable future, but unable to crack the Chelsea first team, if he does want more game time, it will be away from Stamford Bridge.

Inter are thought to be eyeing up Badiashile as a potential replacement for Yann Aurel Bisseck should he leave the San Siro, while Napoli have also been linked.
