Capturing a player of Federico Chiesa's calibre and versatility for as little as £10m will be viewed as yet another shrewd piece of business by everybody of a Liverpool persuasion.

The Italian was widely regarded as one of the hottest commodities in world football prior to his ACL injury a couple of years ago, capturing headlines with his rapid pace, eye-catching technical attributes and a clear eye for goal.

New Juventus boss Thiago Motta's tactical preference of a higher-tempo, high-press was never really going to suit Chiesa, especially on the back of his injury lay-off, so the chance to showcase his talents as part of Arne Slot's more composed and patient Liverpool side appears the perfect fit.

It's not just goals that the Italian international has provided throughout his career however, with the winger having also laid on 53 assists throughout his playing career, including a season high of 11 in 202/21.
