Premier League Fantasy gameweek 35 preview

There are just four more game weeks for fantasy football players to get stuck into for this Premier League season, and there are plenty of players who boost your team.

Leaders Manchester City are showing no signs of slowing down and there are still plenty of teams in the relegation mix, so expect some key individual performances on another action-packed weekend.

We have five players who you should consider for your team this weekend.

Defender - Trent Alexander-Arnold

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been a frustration for fantasy football players this season, but the Liverpool right-back looks to have finally come good and the advice is to continue riding the wave.

He has pushed into more advanced positions during a run of five straight victories for the Reds and six of his eight assists for the season have come in their last six matches.

Jurgen Klopp's side have scored 16 goals in their last five games, so they look set to go on the front foot against Brentford, particularly as they have pushed themselves back into the race for a top-four spot.

Avenging a 3-1 defeat in west London in January should provide extra motivation and Alexander-Arnold, who is 2/1 to make an assist against the Bees, can be at the heart of things.

Midfielder - Morgan Gibbs-White

The importance of Nottingham Forest's home game against bottom-of-the-table Southampton cannot be overemphasised and with Forest showing their positive side recently, this could be a big game for midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.

Brennan Johnson is the Tricky Trees' top goalscorer with eight but Gibbs-White, who has scored four, can make his presence felt after two goals in his last three matches and he has had at least one attempt on goal in six of his last seven outings.

The former Wolves man scored and produced an assist in their plucky 3-2 defeat at Liverpool and they benefited from being positive in their last home game, an impressive 3-1 win over Brighton, so a visit from the basement dwellers should not hold any fears.

Gibbs-White is 13/5 to score in the match and 3/1 to make an assist - he has six this season.

Midfielder - Michael Olise

Crystal Palace have found their shooting boots under Roy Hodgson and, after a 4-3 win over West Ham last week, there is a good chance they could be involved in another high-scoring London derby at Tottenham.

Should that materialise, then Michael Olise looks their most likely assist outlet - he has nine this season and his nearest Eagle has mustered just three.

Two goals may be viewed as a disappointing contribution - he is 9/2 to score at any time - but he is a key playmaker for Palace and he created three of the goals in the recent 5-1 win over Leeds.

The shackles are off with Premier League survival virtually confirmed for the Eagles, they should be positive and create opportunities against a shaky Spurs defence, who have conceded 15 goals in their last four matches.

Forward - Julian Alvarez

Erling Haaland is receiving all the goalscoring plaudits this season but there will be other Manchester City players looking to fill their boots against struggling Leeds on Saturday and Julian Alvarez is one to keep an eye on.

The Argentinian, who scored a fine goal in the 2-1 win over Fulham last week, is never shy about having a pop at goal and, although new Leeds boss Sam Allardyce will pull out all the stops to try and halt the league leaders, actually managing that is a different prospect.

Alvarez has had a shot on target in nine of his last 14 outings in the Champions League and Premier League, and is 6/5 to have at least two goalbound efforts against the Yorkshire outfit at the Etihad. He is also 4/5 to find the net at any time.

Forward - Callum Wilson

Newcastle have won their last four matches at St James' Park and England striker Callum Wilson has been at the forefront of their efforts.

He has scored five goals in their last three matches, when Tottenham, Everton and Southampton have been brushed aside and he can make his mark again when title-chasing Arsenal head to Tyneside on Sunday.

The Gunners have no option but to take the game to the Magpies and that could cause them problems. And if it does, Wilson is in just the sort of form to take advantage, especially as Mikel Arteta's side have struggled since losing William Saliba through injury.

Wilson is 6/4 to score in the game and 8/1 to find the net at least twice, which he has done in his last two matches.
